even you are using win2k, you can use RK Launcher with its nice png icons, remove all desktop icons and use a beatiful background...

longhorn trasformation pack 10.5 is very good but try to use other style for longhorn rather than the pack styles there is one which is very nice at deviant art : http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/9380004/
