i would like to know, where are the registry entries for adjusting: MTU , RWIN ,..... and other TCP settings ? also, what are the optimum TCP settings for ADSL shared on a LAN ? Thanks.

I think there is something wrong, because when you install a fresh copy of XP, by default it run smooth without any registry tweaks !!! and these tweaks may make it run more fast... * try open Task manager and see if any program is eating your CPU power ! * also check the Hardware, may be there is a loose connection in the IDE cable for example !

is there a check mark on the Mute in Volume icon in the task bar ? may be there is a mute button on the laptop itself, check it !!

we have a lan (ADSL router + switch 8 port all DLink) i'm trying to log on to our default gateway 10.0.0.2 to adjust some settings with our ISP but it refuses the password : user name: admin / pass: admin is there anything that i can do ? Thanks.

we have build a network (5 friends in the same building) and we are sharing ADSL: a router is connected to a switch, and we all connected to that switch. is there a way from any machine to disconnect other users ?? ie.: when i'm online, is there a trick to disconnect other user ?? Thanks a lot.
