You should try to download UniExtract again, unpack it (no more UPX) and scan it with your AV. Download upx from here : http://upx.sourceforge.net/ The unpack switch is "-d".

Depends on what you do. And NTFS has this security thing I love so much (take ownership of folders that do not belong toyou ) Patchs and 3-party app. Btw "write" is disabled by default when mounting an NTFS volume. I think we could make it run on that. The hardest part is to make it understand ext, Reiser, XFS, ZFS permission system.

It's true K7 (pronounce 'ka set') rather refers to the processor. A K7: A bit older than the one from AMD isn'it ? And the boot method : put the tape in what is called a CD drive. If it doesn't get in, force but you shouldn't need. And don't forget to set the BIOS ! Another method is to put it in a car tape player and then use a jack-jack wire to connect your car to your computer. I experimented a bit on my computer. For example killink lsass.exe prevents me from closing my session. Do you mean you don't have this problem ?
