  1. Mais je doute que beaucoup de personnes comprennent. (quoi que...)
  2. I think he is a bit busy with the new DPs and he was passing some exams ( http://wim.arkanasoft.com/blog/archive/200...ill-graduation/ )
  3. I've not been able to find it. Maybe you have a readme in your theme folder ?
  4. I'll try asap, but my test machine with VMWare just walked away.
  5. Ok, thanks. You gave ma an occasion to browse DA and I found a nice metal theme : http://www.deviantart.com/view/34188933/
  6. Really nice VS. What is its name ?
  7. Happens on all unicode versions of notepad And in Notepad2 too. Which is pretty easy to understand since I think it uses the same APIs as windows's notepad to display text.
  8. Thanks. And I've followed MS's announcements but had no time to dig myself.
  9. There is a pre-alpha-work-in-progress-release-to-a-single-beta-tester-that-doesn't-even-exists. But there is one.
  10. Coming, coming, be patient. Only a few components can be removed right now. And, I did NOT beta test any nLite for Vista. (and I don't want to, I have other big projects right now)
  11. Wow, you joined two years ago and you first post to help. Thanks a lot. And your code worked. I've set in my css stylesheet and it's perfect. Also, I found that it was not possible to use too small values for width and heigth (not under 200px), at least in IE6. But it is also possible to use "width:auto;". And now I wonder why is this code absent from MSFN's CSS. I mean, it was useful and as far as I'm concerned, I never has any problem. :?
  12. From titou2k's website, And this makes me think I should try WM11Lite in a VM and on a clean install.
  13. This is main "video configuration" window for ffdshow. You can get it with this command : rundll32.exe ffdshow.ax,configure Are you able to get this window/do you have a ffdshow.ax file in SYSTEM32 ? And, have you used TTPack or WindowsMediaLite from ksphere.free.fr ? PS: for infos on ffshow, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FFDShow
  14. Have you tried with CDIMAGE ?
  15. I still have I used latest version but it's also possible I made a mistake and used the previous one. However, I can't check that right now. I also have the same problems, except for KB916281.
  16. My file was indeed for SP2. Corrected now, we'll see how it goes. I checked the properties of the file before deleting it and there's a field named "Applies to" which in fact appears in many hotfixes. It can be : "Windows XP Service Pack 1" "Windows XP Service Pack 2" "Windows XP Service Pack 1; Windows XP Service Pack 2" Would it be possible hfslip checks that field and prints a warning or stops whenever an error is encountered ? Or, rather, a warning and a "would you like to continue ?" screen ?
  17. Windows generally doesn't recognize mobile graphic cards, and GeForce 440Go is a bit more recent than XP so 2k certainly doesn't have the drivers.
  18. You have 252 hotfixes ! Were did you get them from ?! It all depends on which order you apply them. But in fact, you're not doing it bad. Keep on. As for the beep driver, try to keep it. (source : http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...92entry515192 )
  19. Ok, I'll try that, then. In fact, I thought this: would also apply to multiple files. (image from CABSDK)
  20. I once told my mother to use Shift+Del and immediately said "no, don't!". She would have wiped the whole folder. I'll check that asap. Since HFSlip uses something similar, maybe someone here can help me : http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=76608 Or did you stumble on the same problem (I saw hfslip uses for... instead of a "dir /B > smurf.ddf") ? Thanks.
  21. Did you use th econfig you have in your sig ? I see you have an nVidia card; were drivers from MS or did you install some newer from nVidia ? I read their drivers were more crashing than ATI's ones. :? Also, have you had any problem with your SATA2 drives ?
  22. You're lucky nv4_disp.dll is the root cause for a huge number of bugchecks, as are AV filter drivers. Using a Radeon here, but on three other computers it is nVidia. The one that crashes is a laptop with a GeForce4 440Go and crashes on nv4_disp.dll. Maybe that using the DELL original drivers will lead to stability but with newer drivers at least I can use "Clone" mode.
  23. You're taking it out of context - the Standard features require a WDDM display adapter rather than the current classic style driver, and it is here the inherent increase in stability arises, as it's a different driver model. Ok, I did not think about that. However, I never had a single crash because of my graphic drivers. And I only know one computer which crashes because of its nvidia drivers (though the computer HAS to crash; it should be formatted and cleaned) But what you said makes sense, but looking at the presentation I had no way to guess that.
  24. Do you remove beep drivers ? Do others sounds play correctly ? Also, this setting is in Control Panel -> Sounds and Audio Peripherals. However, I don't know the reg key. (use regshot if needed) edit : imho you should use nlite, remove WMP, use WMP10 slipstreamer. Also, it would maybe worth you attach your last session.ini.
