  1. Have not been banned yet.
  2. I used nLite to slipstream IE7. I tried in VMWare and got no error.
  3. I attached the answer to my post. This is what I got after opening only 1 page. If you want to know : using TCPView, I get lots of [System Process]:0 TCP enermax-a64:1994 23.a4.344a.static.theplanet.com:http TIME_WAIT entries. As they are in TIME_WAIT state : they close after a loooooooooooong time and we can easily reach thousands of connections. We only need to open 6 pages in less than two minutes. I tried with K-Meleon and got no such problem. msfn_connectionS_bug.7z
  4. Hi, I'm now switching from XP SP1 to XP SP2 and I noticed that wuauclt.exe was running. I always remove this service. I've started nlite again, loaded the last preset over the same source and "Automatic Updates" was checked for removal. :-/ And btw, I have an error in setuperr.log (I wouldn't have noticed it without this file): D:\i386\AGP440.SYS was not copied to C:\WINDOWS\system32\DRIVERS\AGP440.SYS because of the following error: Operation has been cancelled by user. Thanks for your help. Last_Session_wuau_not_removed.7z
  5. I took care and used a computer with IE6 to connect to msfn. To post this message I had to shut down my modem in order to get a new IP.

    My sigs!

All four are really nice. The only problem imho is the second sig : the text is not so readable. And do you have a bigger image for the first one. I know it's 300x100 but we don't see much of the caracter.
  7. Just to say my problem was my fault : some SP1 updates went into my SP2 HF folders.
  8. I got banned again. I'm running IE7 but the pages don't seem to go nut. I'll turn the sound back and check. edit:indeed, I heard at least 7 "clicks" when I submitted my answer. edit2:no quick edit problem whoever 3 clicks for a fast reply. edit3: when I open a page, the page is quite slow to open. Then, I hear 3 "clicks" and the page displays immediately.
  9. I think I have a BSOD at first boot because of a problem with "missing winsrv". I have some unnecessary HF but it was not a problem before and I changed nothing. I don't have access to my HFSLIP.LOG ATM. Final was no problem, for sure. I thought someone maybe had an info.
  10. Back too. I hope my IP won't get banned again soon!
  11. It seems I got banned too. I am under the impression that my ip is banned, after a few hours it is put on trial and when I reconnect and open too many pages at the same time, I get banned again because I look like the beginning of an attack. :-/
  12. This will only work if windows is able to install drivers for you graphic card during setup. Since this is not my case, I change resolution (among other things) with an autohotkey script.
  13. Thanks for your work.
  14. Maybe, I'm not sure. Install drivers for you motherboard and/or chipset.
  15. These are migration data. I think they are only used during upgrades to keep Acrobat working when migrating from 9x to XP. As far as I'm concerned, I've deleted all migration data.
  16. At school, we had a conference about time reversal. The guy nearly closed the lid of his laptop at a moment and promptly reopened it since ir prevented the projector from displaying anything. He received a message from DEP implying svchost.exe About your problem : have you removed Dr Watson ? From my experience that's a bad idea and a horrible idea on computer that support DEP. If your processor did not support DEP, there would be no such tab as the one on your screenshot.
  17. October is gone, it's November's turn. Post your desktop screenshots guys.
  18. ??? WTF ??? When did Adobe Reader become a part of windows? There's flash 5 but I've never heard of Acrobat Reader in windows ?
  19. Have a look at your event viewer (start -> run, eventvwr), it contains several infos. Also, you're using nlite 1.0 RC8 : 1.2 final is out. And, are you installing .Net framework 2 at the same time ?
  20. For a them to show up, a .theme file is required. Browse to C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes. The list of themes in display properties matchs exactly the .theme files there. .theme files are text files and (usually) contain the path to a .msstyles file. If you want a .theme file to be created, open manually your .msstyles.
  21. Thanks to the friend fdv thanks, see http://www.vorck.com/hfslip.html and search for "sfc" in the page, it is near the first occurence. For want i understand you're saying nLite doesn't really use ASMS compression even though it is selected? All my DLL's inside ASMS are compressed when ASMS Compression is selected in nLite. The first thing is I can't find this anymore.
  22. All apps now install correctly. I still have to clean the software list (some deprecated entries) but that's not really important. I like releasing files through ed2k network since it has corruption-handling. I can upload up to 100KB/s. Does somebody has something against such release scheme ? (the file would be 250MB, and free hosts ****)
  23. Hi, I've disabled autorun with nlite; when I install vmware tools, there's no autorun, in My Computer, CD Drive has no special icon, but when I try to open the drive, autorun is started. In XP SP1, I have no problem with this tweak. Thanks for fixing.
  24. I've successfully replaced all CAT files inside ASMS with 0-bit ones (saves 150KB). This sort of replacement did not work for I386\NT5.CAT. And I wanted to add I use a sfcfiles.dll replacement (which is nearly empty so it saves approx. 1MB from my CD). I've also cabbed all dlls inside ASMS (saves 5MB). I thought ASMS compression would stay in nlite and would only be disabled for XP Gold or so.
