  1. I have no doubt that I'll be able to achieve it. I have the know-how already. It's just a matter of time, that's all.
  2. Nah, that didn't help at all... Anyone know how to do this using the @programfilesdir macro? I tried Run ( "" & @ProgramFilesDir & '\FlashFXP\flashfxp.exe""' & "", "" ) didn't work. Then I tried. Run (@ProgramFilesDir & "\FlashFXP\flashfxp.exe", "") didn't work.
  3. Well, I have two unattended discs. One is labeled "DIST" (distribution) and the other is "MINE" (self-explanitory). DIST will wait until first login, and then it runs WIHU, asking for various CD keys along the way. Plus it gives the user an option of not installing stuff. For me, I'll run "MINE" on my system as an emergency disc. It also comes in handy if I wanna use it on more than one computer. Transfering ghost images from one computer to another can cause problems if the computers aren't exactly the same. Anyway, after I do the unattended install, I create a ghost image and store it on a seperate HDD. Then I create a CD, which can auto-restore the ghost image whenever the user feels so inclined. I'm actually going to add a script that makes the CD for the user, but that's later. It'll just ask the person to put in a CD, then it'll make a ghost image on a seperate partition and transfer necessary files to the disc. If people are actually interested in my complete package, I suppose I could post it (sans copyrighted material, of course) when I finish my DIST version.
  4. EdGaR doesn't realize that one must browse to the directory in which the file is located, whilst using the command prompt to do so.
  5. "were," not "where" ... unless, of course, you're trying to direct me to some figurative "deafness;" in which case, your sentence is a little broken.
  6. Why doesn't this work: Run ( "%programfiles%\FlashFXP\Flashfxp.exe", "%programfiles\Flashfxp\", "" ) When I try that, it says "Cannot find 'd:\program files\flashfxp\flashfxp.exe'" Yes, my program files directory is on drive d: and yes, if I click start->run and type "%programfiles%\FlashFXP\Flashfxp.exe," it works just fine. It also works just fine if I click start->run and type "d:\program files\flashfxp\flashfxp.exe." What gives? Any way that I could do this using @ComSpec? I'm using AutoIt v3, btw. PS- I'm currently using the following Send ("#r") ControlClick ( "Run","","edit1","","2" ) Send ("%programfiles%\FlashFXP\flashfxp.exe{Enter}") But I've had some problems with that one if my computer is running slow. Besides, that won't exactly work on my unattended xp disc as there is no start button during the XP install.
  7. One more time for the reading impaired...
  8. If you went to the main "Application Installs" forum, or if you used the Search Function, you might've found this thread...
  9. I am a moron and have no respect for software development.
  10. First of all, you should edit your first post and put all of the switches there. Second, is there a way to make it NOT put the shortcut in "Multimedia." Not everybody wants or has the same setup as you. If you're intrusive with your work, people won't take advantage of it.
