  1. For those who didnt get mine: ID-10-T looks a lot like: ID IO T Remove the spaces: id***
  2. XtremeMaC: That is similar to what we have at my work, but it is done off of the main PDC (where the network printers are installed). I doubt that would help him much, as I dont thing he wants to setup a domain just to get his printers working the way he wants... I know there is a way to do it with just one computer, its a special version of a switch box or something, I remember hearing about them once.
  3. That is just a tad bit hot for an Intel. My XP 3000 even with a 200mhz OC is at 33C idle, though something called the "cpu diode" is reporting a temp of 46C, and the case is running a pleasant 22C
  4. divx can be found at www.divx.com Edit: you might want to try to Klite Codec pack, it has a lot of codecs in one package.
  5. Looks good, some of the pics in the gallery wont load and I get a 404 from the Info link.
  6. lol, you have .net, you should get .com and .org before someone else does!
  7. Thanks, found that somewhere and kept a copy of it, i think it was someones avatar on another fourm years ago, thought i might use it here
  8. Yea, its out. I run the "Steam" client for all the other HL games and mods and it **** well made sure I knew it was out.
  9. Memory and storage. "In memory" is any data that is stored in the RAM. And by design, it is temporary and volitile, a power failue will cause a loss of this data. Storage is the HDD, and data writen to it (unless its a chache file or in windows' page file) is permanent and will not be lost if the power goes out. If data becomes corrupted, then it more than likely cannot me recovered (hense the term, corupt). If a HDD crashed, thats a differnt story, you can always retreive data from that, its just a matter of how much money you are willing to spend to get it back. Edit: Or you can read that link lol /\
  10. Eh, is the phone cable actually in the LINE IN jack, and not the PHONE jack on the modem? I've been known to do that a few times..... Other than that, just do what some other people have already recomended, try it in a completely different system and see what it does there.
  11. Running? XP That I come into contact with at work once in a while? NT or 95 Whats the oldest OS I have? I have a copy of Windows 1 beta running around somewhere, fits on a single floppy disk I think!
  12. Whatever man, as long as you can find them cheap, get whatever one(s) you want, and then grab all their vairants too! I currently have 2 domains, and am saving the money to get their .net variants
  13. I set off the nuke and got dumped wherever it is you land next, and promptly died (took me too long to find the gun when the trigent thing was charging me). When it dumped me back to the main menu all my saved games were gone! What caused this, and does anyone have a saved game file near that point?
  14. General note: He used a magnetic paddle on the system while it was in operation, with physical contact between the paddle and drive. I have a few of these paddles at work, its how we wipe drives before sending to public sale (I work for a school board). The ones we have are powerfull enough to move the drives without physical contact across a desk. Now think, other than the two magnets and the disks, what else is in a HDD that can be magneticly manipulated? Not much! Very powerfull. Comeon, I'm talking about a field strong enough to alter data through the lead sheilding that most drives have. My only recomendation is to try a cmos/bios reset, and if that doesnt work, then your screwed, and I would send your friend a bill for a replacement mobo, cpu, and HDD. You created a massive magnetic field inside and around electrical componets, most likely shorting them all out. This is the same affect that EMPs use to do their dammage, and why electrical equipment always has those little symbols that say not magnets or whatever.
  15. I'm not quite understanding this, did you wipe the drive while it was still in the machine? If you did, then you may have screwed the rest of the system, becasue the magnetic padles that I have used were powerfull enough to move the drive around and pick up! If not, then can you explain your problem in a little more detail?
  16. wow, its amazing what you can remember when your not trying to remember anything. Was doing something completely different and it was like a lightbulb going off over my head. Does this site have what your looking for:? www.3gupload.com
  17. Well, that didnt help, I made a donation to it using paypal, but it must have been over a year ago becasue its not showing up in my history.
  18. I used to know a site that had all kinds of free logos and ringers, I cant for the life of me remember it, hang on, I'll go do some digging.
  19. That is deffinetly russian writing on it, however, does not mean that it is from Russia. My mom can speak russian, I'll ask her if she can read it when she gets home tonight.
  20. Bellsouth dialup. Sucks, I cant get cable or DSL and satalite is far to expensive.
  21. My desktop has been down since Thursday, new mobo expected to be in tomarrow. Ive been living off my laptop for the last few days: Sorry for not having a smaller pic, the tools are not available to me on my laptop to make a proper thumb-pic. The net stats aree totaly wack becasue I've been throwing stuff around my network, no way I can send 800mb in 1 hr on dial-up . And the Cool-mon script is someone elses that I copied (fist and so far my last script for it.). But I made it completely myslef, going to make one thats completely my oun as soon as I get my desktop back online.
