i have been looking online for the last couple of months but i haven't been able to find an updated bios for my computer. i still have all the info from the scan that i ran through the bios agent, my particular bios is kinda special & and hasn't upgraded in sometime, however when i submitted it, i was sent an email for saying the typically blah blah about how much i could gain from a bios update, with my bios i am think it would be best to have them make. cause i have seen 1st hand what an incorrect bios update can do to a computer. i have an award bios, what i want to know if there is any one out there who has recd a specially made bios update? any issues of any kind? did it hose ur computer?

awh finally..............got the reply button to come up, had to clear the cache for some reason. if u are doing the attended you might have to create a batch file to move everything to the directory u want. guess u could try an imesh.ini file, would be trial and error. unless the changes are made in the registry, i didn't go that far when i installed, but it installed fine & ran fine for me, just had insert the username & stuff. another note, it does create a tools folder in C:\Documents and Settings\User\Start Menu\Programs, could just use the batch file to move everthing there.

Hopefully, the Kazaa thing is figured out now, if anybody has anything different let me know, thanks.

yeah i was actually thinking about doing that after doing the update. and i have started to keep track to what i am adding right now.thanks for the additions, i will even go back and edit my post asking for help, to remove any switches that i now have. is the systemrestore used during install, i don't think so but just asking. is the kliteppk just the kazaa lite version?

yeah i thought about replacing them in the .dll but i have animated cursors so that could be part of the problem too. then i thought about just renaming them to the same cursors, and extract them using sfx extraction, that way they replace the windows default. that might be something to try.

i have the same problem but i come to the conculsion that it might be w/ the luna theme or the .theme file. are you applying a new theme??

uxtheme.dll for winxp 2158v......does anybody know where i can get the modified one, i some how deleted mine & have been trying 2160v but it is not working right.

i actually meant it to be in the rtf format, that was my fault, i didn't notice the .txt part until u had said something, so thanks but it has been fixed, so no problem there. it can be pretty much be for anybody, i sometimes get tired of looking in the forumns for different switches, only to have to go back & look again, just wanting to save time on my part & maybe some others as well. sorry bout the late responses, just been busy working on this project, the amount of hrs i have put in, have been tremendous.......

I have created a Switches.rtf that has the switches for 348 different pieces of software in it. I am currently in the process of adding all the switches that I have to uawiki.org , so the 11/1/05 upload will be the last one for awhile, please check out the website as it is currently building up a pretty impressive database of app switches, I am sure that in time & w/ more help it will be even better. I have always wanted to put the switches online but haven't had the time to create the website so uawiki.org allows me that chance so they can easily be updated & changed @ any time, as u will notice there are already several members of msfn already there. I will leave the attachment so that if anyone would still like to download it they can. I am curious to see what everyone thinks about putting the switches online. so do let me know & u can post it right here. also i want to say Thank You to everybody for all the support & comments, they have been appriceated. ****Update on 6/18/06 @ 8:05am--- i have restarted working on my project, however progress has been slow, i am also making some major changes that i hope to upload @ some point, i am also still updating www.uawiki.org, i am also changing everything from notepad to excel and hope to be done sometime, it is take forever and i am retesting all the switches & links.......... might as well as add all the other viewers to, just an idea. if anybody doesn't have office, regardless of which version. might be simpler to create and msi & install that way.

i had some trouble using the %cdrom%, but i never tried it w/ the reg.exe, i have found it simpler to install using the batch file, i even go as far to call the program off of the cd to install. i have also thought about trying to call a program to a temp folder off of the cd & then install from the temp folder, same idea just more work to do it.
