You would be suprised, here at my house i got a pretty nice cable connection yet one of my roomates uses his Aol in conjuntion with the cable line....its all he knows and hes use to it....im trying to break him of his diry habit, but he likes the fact that all his stuff is in one spot.... =Drew

Id go with WD they seem to be the best built, for longevity and heavy use, as for the size, get what ever you can afford...the biiger the better =Drew

Yea gamehead, it will just defalt to your Mobos max peak burst speed. If you want to take advantage to the ATA133, then get yourself a Ata133 card, like zipp said, and you will get the max burst rate of the Hd.....but it will work regardless.. =Drew

Do yourself a favor and get your self a anti-static wrist guard....be wary of static, dont touch compnents directly, and ground yourself first, try discharging you staic by grabing the metal of the case for a few secs...and just dont go waling on shag carpet and then grab your mobo or Geforce 4...It could be bad... I have seen friends kill several Mobos like this..so just be smart about it... =Drew

If the system what bought in 98, theres no way that its going to run that Hd at 133, but 133 is backwards compatable with udma 66 which was the standard at the time...so the Hd will just revert back to those burst speeds... -Drew

Agreed doggie... I use to be a mac hater for the lack of games and after market accesories...but when i used a G3 and a G4 to do some content cration, it was great...M100 websites and other media editing type things, Mac is the way to go...but Pc still takes the gaming world in my view.. =Drew

For the shutting down issue try doing this. Goto Control panel>Power Options>APM tab and then tick the one and only box there, to enable APM Good luck =Drew

Its not that bad really...As long as you get a good Mobo with nice overclocking features, bumping up the Fsb wont be difficult at all...only bad thing is that if you push it high it increases the ratio speed of the pci slots...but this can be avoid by getting a Mobo that has a ratio control, which multiplyes you fsb buy 1/3, 1/2 etc etc, this can help alot in keeping a stable rig... =Drew

Are you refering to the multiplyer?? Becasue the multiplyers on Intels have been locked since after the Cleron 366a....so dont bother looking for away around that, to my knowladge, there are none. Just bump up the fsb...that should to the trick.... =Drew

PSu get very cloged with dust, when the computer is off get a vacum hose on one end and pressurized air on the other, this might clean the problem right out... But the fan could be on its way out..so look into that aswell...the PSu fans are one of the main cooling aspect of the computer, so be carfull and make sure u get this fixed. Good luck =Drew
