    Turner Brown

A skinny little white guy goes into an elevator, looks up and sees this huge black guy standing next to him. The big guy sees the little guy staring at him, looks down and says: "7 feet tall, 350 pounds, 20 inch private, 3 pound left testicle, 3 pound right testicle, Turner Brown." The white man faints and falls to the floor. The big guy kneels down and brings him to, shaking him. The big guy says, "What's wrong with you?" In a weak voice the little guy says, "What EXACTLY did you say to me?" The big dude says, "I saw the curious look and figured I'd just give you the answers to the questions everyone always asks me. I'm 7 feet tall, I weigh 350 pounds, I have a 20 inch private, my left testicle weighs 3 pounds, my right testicle weighs 3 pounds, and my name is Turner Brown." The small guy says, "Turner Brown?!...Whew, Thank God! I thought you said turn around!"

A woman was very distraught at the fact that she had not had a date or any sex for over 5 years. She was afraid she might have something wrong with her, so she decided to seek the medical expertise of the well known Chinese sex therapist, Dr. Chang. Upon entering the examination room, Dr. Chang said, "OK, take off all your crose." The woman did as she was told. "Now get down and craw reery, reery fass to odderside of room." Again, the woman did as she was instructed. Dr. Chang then said, "OK, now craw reery, reery fass back to me." As she did, Dr. Chang shook his head slowly. "Your probrem vewy bad. You haf Ed Zachary Diseaz. Worse case I ever see. Dat why you not haf sex or dates." The woman asked anxiously, "Oh my God, Dr. Chang, what is Ed Zachary Disease?" Dr. Chang sighed deeply and replied: "Ed Zachary Disease is when your face looks Ed Zachary like your azz."
  3. Uhoh..old sins surfacing Well, I left it alone at the time and haven't bothered since....couldnt use bootvis coz 2003 not supported.. Will be a bit more active for a coupla weeks now so when time allows I will try again..
  4. The best is to utilize "OEM method" or T-12 ... If you want to use T-12 go here and read through it, it's somewhat complex but very rewarding to learn..(you can do pretty much anything here to your OS without any complaints or hangups provided you got proper regfiles applied as well) : http://unattended.msfn.org/beginner/intro.htm specifics on cmdlines..(where you add your commands) http://unattended.msfn.org/global/cmdlines.htm
  5. Can you please give more specifics on that "optimize" function, I can't find it there...or here.
  6. Is there a possibilty to share identical setupfiles between XP and 2K3 when creating that multiple-OS DVD or CD? I know they cannot use the same I386 coz of some different version, sizes and so on..(obviously) ..but there is many enuff to consider this. Also is it possible to utilize $OEM$ folders and unattended install when creating that multiple-OS DVD or CD? Anyone? Dang, I just found out there is a forum for that...sorry admins!
  7. ..if I tell you I must kill you.. ..nah, joking aside..I have spent a couple of weeks on checking all those Dll's dependencies, registryvalues, Snapincalls...and so on..I have removed some stuff like Shared Folders and Performance Monitor..(not for network)..and removed/unregistered registryentries for them so I will not have any popups at all. Same for Services, I have only 12-14 services remaning in system, and no "dead meat"..still have DHCP, Task Sheduler, WIFI,P&P, Crypto..and some. Still working on a few minor things..a few events in Event Viewer that needs to be dealt with. All this is handled with batchfiles and regfiles @ T-13 and RunOnceEx, pretty much all my work is in there...taken we all understand that without Nlite I havent even got close to where I am now. Thanx Nuhi! I will not share my batches/reggies yet, it's not perfected yet and just toooo much effort put in them to just "throw" them around...I hope you will understand Eventually they will be shared ofcourse But hey, ask me anything and I will be glad to help..just not those files...yet.
  8. hmm, well..if used in CarPC I would opt for minlogon..no need for user accounts there ..but when it comes to desktop i still prefer winlogon, I like my CTR ALT DEL combo and boot-time is not that much slower when Nlited/shrinked properly. Also the fact that you can only login to system.. As for sizedifference it's just a few kb...assuming you got rid of OEMBIOS files. EDIT: wee..I'm a junior ..nice when ur a 41 year old grandfather.. B)
  9. Thats not bad at all, with 2K3 you allways gonna end up with some 35-50mb more than XP with same settings in Nlite..(at least in .998b5). I'm working on unregistering all those serverrelated components pre/postinstall...my guess is it will land on just a few megs more. But that is if you just wanna get the "workstationperformance" out of it ofcourse...

Windows=153mb, Memory=29mb commit..live! 386folder=96mb, install=6min..everything running fine. good.can send me ? thanks i want to try 42437374@qq.com <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ..c'mon, get real...i do NOT send any files in that manner. My first impression of this board was that it was filled with similar minded ppl, but...
  11. system properties/advanced/performance settings/advanced ..if you look there u see two performance options...now you should be able to guess wich one is wich ..this is the fundamental difference with XP when checked to background priority and system cache ..also here lies parts of the secrets why 2K3 outperforms XP..(memorymanagement)
  12. Everything thats new is fun, gotta have gotta try...thats the way it is. I see the use for this in my CarPC, nice to have instant boot when fire up the car...also less moving parts..
  13. Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management] "LargeSystemCache"=dword:00000000 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management] "LargeSystemCache"=dword:00000000 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\PriorityControl] "Win32PrioritySeparation"=dword:00000026 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\PriorityControl] "Win32PrioritySeparation"=dword:00000026 ..that will take care of the most important stuff for ya now go and google some and learn some as well...
  14. 386 directory is 95mb Windows directory is 159mb The whole install takes 162 mb on harddisk Will sink my teeth into 386 now, think I have reached the smallest possible installsize.
  15. You have them all in 2K3 as well, just a matter of some settings.. Personally I use 2K3 in my old Fujitsu-Siemens Lifebook B-2130 with a Celeron 400 and 128mb mem.(heavily tweaked)..2K3 just uses ur memory and resources more efficient than in XP... When I boot my tinytop everyone with no exception is amazed how fast and smooth it is.. ...I even did try hosting RIS directly to another oldie laptop...took it's time but did actually got through

Take the code and paste it in a notepadfile, rename it to "something.reg"....and then just doubleclick it and confirm.. ..but use VirtualPC or similar ..or better yet, wait until someone has made an installer

The best way is to use cmdlines @ T-12 for those registry settings and then use RunOnceEx for a simple batchfile that will clear out all those files/folders. Better invest some time in setting up those batchfiles rather than deleting them manually each time
  18. sounds like u missing to boot from cd, that message is common when u try to boot from a non-system disk or a damaged boot...wich could have happened if u have fondled around with any Linuxrelated stuff on it..or it's just a matter of checking ur bios for boot-device/priority.

from what I have seen it's not specified in the EULA anywhere that u must evaluate the WHOLE os and not just parts of it...because evaluating is just what I do when slamming together those files..evaluating for my purposes. But when going from that to get it out from that VPC environment ur bound to hit some patrol... As for minilogon I don't use it, I loose to much functionality... But in the end of the day ur right ofcourse, XP is what the majority uses here so it will for sure be most benefitial to other members if we all stick to that. ..will not stop me "developing" both in parallell though, 2003 is just to darn spankin' good and easily scalable to be left alone

2003 server files?...excellent choice! this is going to be interesting
  22. 2003 server anytime, it has by far better memorymanagement than XP and also using a later NT version....thats change when XP64 is here though. I'm sick of heraing ppl say "2003 server is an server os NOT an workstation os"...it will run aruond XP in circles given you have configured it right. With the sp1 2003 even has full support for High Definition Audio and also has DirectX 9c built in.
  23. Thanx! Guess I'm gonna burn my day on this...
