it the monitor which takes the most power just turn that off nd it will be fine.

First are all them patchs crital updates and not just recommended updates. if some are recommended updates i would say you dont need more remove them frist then try your hotfixes again and see if any errors come up.

it is possiable to add publisher to your cd but you wuld have to start the install process manual i think unless you edit the AUTORUN.inf file to start publisher as well.

WMP9 is perfectly ok it runs find and is great for people with lots of music. I use it all the time it great.
