  4. Have you followed these instructions in the WPI.cmd? REM Example, how to look for CDROM-drive. Must have WPI.ico at the root of the CD. for %%i in (C D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S T U V W X Y Z) do if exist %%i:\wpi.ico set CDROM=%%i: echo Found CD-Rom as drive %CDROM% I also test my DVD in VMware although without any issues.
  5. @kelsenellenelvian I just tried with MP3 and didn’t get any audio? Come to think of it, it never played music with the MID files set to play? I use Nlite, but have Windows Media play installed with some stuff removed from it, would this be the cause? I also noticed a box at the bottom of my WPI where something should go, is this where the audio thing should be? the box has always been there, even if I D-load a fresh version of WPI and run it, it's still there? Maybe I’ve removed something with Nlite that stops the audio player working. Any idea of its dependences?

  7. You could always use a program like EXEmp3 to convert the MP3 to a .exe file and run is in the normay way.
  8. I keep passwords and usernames in a procteced word file with autosave off, the password for this file is strong and the file is saved on a floppy disk. The name of the file doesnt reflect the content and the disk itself isn't kept near my PC. Like to see any hacker steal my goods
  9. Ive just started using WPI after a long break from it. I had my WPI working flawlessley back then with version 2 point something but know have some difficulities formatting my headings. I used to use this: prog[pn]=['Logical Progression 1'] desc[pn]=[''] cmd1[pn]=['%cdrom%\\Install\\Music\\LP.cmd'] rega[pn]=[''] dflt[pn]=['yes'] forc[pn]=['false'] THIS LINE--- cat[pn]=['<font size="5"><font color="00FFFF">Music</font></font size="5">'] ordr[pn]=[1] uid[pn]=[''] deps[pn]=[] pn++ But now it doesnt work. So my question is how can i format each heading?
  10. I also need to know how to do this in the new version. I have altered the wpi.htm in both Classic and Glossy without success. Also the tick boxes next to each title eg Internet, Utilities ect EDIT again @kelsenellenelvian Found your rar file with new main.js, great job, that sorted the tool tips, thanks
  11. Has anybody managed to silently install this? Yes i know its installshield, Yes i have search the forum, Yes i know use the -r switch to record the iss, but it dosent work. It has never worked from 9-06. cmd1[pn]=['%cdrom%\\Install\\ATI-MultiMediaCentre-9-08\\setup.exe -s -f1"%cdrom%\\Install\\ATI-MultiMediaCentre-9-08\\setup.iss" -f2"%userprofile%\\Desktop\\ATImmc.log"']This is the script i use (from WPI). Anybody!!!

  13. Havent seen the driver switches in the install line before.. Are there others, for example a way NOT to install starwind?
  14. Extracting the exe with winrar the files are identical to those in the programe files folder after installation. So maybe just zip 'em with an RAR exe and copy them their? There was 1 other 'hidden' file that was different in the install folder: GoldWave.GID This could be the licence file. There are reg entries at: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\GoldWave] These entries are created when GoldWave is run first time. But what i did was install properly, set it to my profies, extracted ALL the Goldweave reg and just copy it to regestry when silently installing.

Picasa2 is one great app For thoso of you creating an WPI or want to install your profiles for Picasa2 they are located here: %userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Google Just create an rar exe file to copy them there during install, use the following comment: Path=%userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Google Silent=2 Overwrite=1

  19. Has anybody had any joy installing elements from the Canon Software package that comes with most Canon cameras? I have the IXUS 40 and only need to install the software for extracting the photos and films from the camera to HD but it looks like the software is a Installshield wrapped inside a msi which in turn in activated by a Canon installer .exe!! I've tried many things like editing the Setup.inf and extacting files from the Temp folder but so far im resigned to using AutoIt script.

  23. Windows update is offering me a driver i cant find elsewhere but its only offering to install it for me. I need to grab it with out installing to put im my Unattended XPCD. SO my question is- Where do the updates go, when using the custom Windows Update site, before they are installed? Thankyou
  24. Just got my self a Hyundai 19" Flat screen and want to use it to display images in full screem mode when im not using the PC. Can anybody recommend any good small free software that display images from a folder? thanks
  25. svasutin I use Nlite to Slip my drivers so thanks for highlighting those files I don’t need . I also uninstalled the nvidia ide drivers and they installed themselves on first boot, seems to of worked but only time will tell. ssmokee Thanks for the link, seems my issue is small compared to others!! My PSU is the Antec True Blue 480W so unless it is faulty, which I don’t think it is, then its not a power issue. My first DVD writer was the MSI DR8 which never consistently worked on my system and i kept having to flash it. The Plextor has worked flawlessly since installation and improves air flow due to the smaller, flatter SATA cabling.
