  1. guess that makes you Mr. Potato Head.
  2. Sounds like corrupt normal.dot and wizard files. The following works in Office. It MAY work in Works. First, do a search for each file that's causing problems. Write down all the locations for each file. Copy each file to diskette or other removable media. This is for backup. If the following is unsuccessful, you can restore your files. Make sure Works is closed. then, find and delete all cpoies of the corrupt files. Restart Works. When you do this in Office, Word re-creates normal.dot. If this doesn't work, restore the files from the backups. Also, check out http://www.btinternet.com/~kevin.james1/ and http://mvps.org/word. And try the Microsoft newsgroups.

  6. html files are displayed as default file icon (unknown file type). I've been through folder options/ File types. in the list, the unknown icon is displayed. When I click advanced, the correct one is displayed. I've tried change icon to re-select the right one. I've even looked in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOThtmlfileDefaultIcon. The default value is C:Program FilesInternet ExplorerIEXPLORE.EXE,1. Would deleting shelliconcache help? I've tried "Repair icons" (tweakui.) Zippo.[/color:b1f932cd17]
  7. Theme files can be edited with Notepad, but I saw no reference to fonts there. I found font references in .msstyles files. You can edit them with Resource Hacker, from http://rpi.net.au/~ajohnson/resourcehacker/. To lighten font colors: Right-click My Computer. Select properties. On the advanced tab, select Performance/Settings. In the list that opens, select "Use drop shadows..." [/list=1] Off-topic: How do I add messenger status to my sig?[/color:4233e90fa0]
