  4. Hi All, Basically i want to be able to have a load of apps installed but first I want the installer to be able to select the apps to be installed prior to unattended install. 5. Does it run through the sysprep routine when you boot the PC up after imaging but it dosent automate the answers you put in the inf file? If so this could be because you are saving the sysprep files to the wrong location on the HDD. make sure you have a folder called c:\sysprep & your inf file & sysprep files are located in this before running it.. if the files are not in this location when the PC reboots it will not be able to read the inf file.
  6. ill ignor it.. thanks for the info.. its just anoying to go to windows update & find there is 1 outstanding.. Id rather it be outstanding than it screw up my ris installs though.
  7. Right, i have got some nice working RIS installs with latest ryman & BTS driver packs. i tried integrating this update kb/912945 into each install but its all gone pete Tong. XP installs fine but after the reboot it asks to save a html file (if i recall its OOBE related). when you click save the install freezes & dosent go any further. this problem is the same on all my ris installs i have integrated this update on. i have managed to roll some of the i386 directories back to before this update & they are now fine. what casued the problem & has anyone else had it..? http://support.microsoft.com/kb/912945

  23. right, am trying to get Ris to work across our wan to see how it works.. Have created a computer account as we did for local Ris installed PCs. this is done in ad by specifying the GUID & a valid computer name. i have double checked this account in AD & have recreated it with a different computer name. I keep getting the error above on the last blue screen where it should state the computer name it will be given just before installation starts. any one have any ideas what is causing it & a solution? google dosent have much on this error code & nor does support.microsoft as per usual.
