"as you said, early 2017; ", not me - it was the article which I merely cited. " it appears that the "iphiderpro.com" domain is now up for sale..." - the timing is perfect, usually everyone who is out of business do it after the New Year celebrations. "I found a self-hosted installer of IP Hider Pro v5.8.0.1" , I very much doubt a version that old will work. It's safe to assume you need at least 6.x.x.x.

Happy New Year, too! The link from that post worked, I checked myself. It was possible to download the installer from SoftPedia before the New Year when I posted it. The phrase "before you start a wild goose chase" looks a bit provoking and filled with baseless accusations, I can tell you: it would never be my intention. "SoftPedia aren't hosting the installer themselves". Not always, SoftPedia does both ways, in this case - seems so.

That's right. That's what the developer wrote. "I will not be spending effort to target discord, chromium or steam." https://github.com/vxiiduu/VxKex/issues/79#issuecomment-1564607047 I think we can now forget about it, officially.

Just make sure you don't pair up 1333FSB CPU with old chipset like 965. 1333FSB only works with Intel Q31 and up. https://www.intel.com/Assets/PDF/whitepaper/316971.pdf

Just a word of caution from Wikipedia regarding that Freegate. "In 2004, the Financial Times, citing a member of staff at Symantec in mainland China, reported that Norton AntiVirus identified Freegate as a Trojan horse. There were initial fears that the reports may be a ploy by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) authorities to encourage removal of the software from computers..." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freegate

Jaw breaking success! @AstroSkipperis the first one to successfully fake and randomise the fingerprint in Firefox (Mypal68). This needs to be patented and saved in a dedicated topic, memorised for the future generations! Thank you for sharing, AstroSkipper!

I checked the Supermium page, there's no version for XP. "Chromium fork for Windows Vista, 7 and 8." https://github.com/win32ss/supermium

In theory, it should work, it's a proxy, so they say. "Comodo TrustConnect is a secure Internet proxy service that creates an encrypted session" https://help.comodo.com/topic-72-1-451-4790-TrustConnect-Overview.html?af=1171 But yes, we need an XP guinea pig, the first week is free, who will agree? @XPerceniol, @Milkinis, @msfntor https://www.comodo.com/trustconnect/index.html

I've found their docs in PDF format. "TrustConnect is successfully tested on Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Linux and Mac Os. X. It supports mobile devices like iPod/iPhone as well." https://accounts.comodo.com/docs/trustconnect/Comodo TrustConnect FAQ.pdf

@AstroSkipper, TrustConnect VPN service from Comodo Internet Security 5.9 bundle is up and running! I've found clear statements about Windows XP support. TrustConnect System Requirements Windows Vista Windows XP Mac OS X Linux (containing kernel 2.4 or later) FreeBSD, OpenBSD https://www.comodo.com/trustconnect/index.html

@AstroSkipper, you're absolutely right, the VPN discussion belongs in another thread, therefore I'll post the following questions there. I just thought since it's embedded in the Comodo Internet Security 5.9 package, it's still related.

Comodo Internet Security 5.9, which despite following the security industry naming convention for paid suites is actually the name of Comodo's free suite, now supports the company's TrustConnect VPN service. TrustConnect uses 128-bit encryption to provide addition Wi-Fi protection Source article: https://ethicalhacking.do.am/news/comodo_adds_vpn_attacks_competitors/2011-12-22-257 I wonder, how good is that VPN?

Need to choose a very good, sturdy power supply for that 105W thing. A very good cooler, too! A copper one.

Last versions of software for Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008
Saxon replied to WinClient5270's topic in Windows Vista
No, I didn't attack you, if you don't have that experience, simply say it, but don't accuse me of something I didn't do. I'm aware MSFN is an international forum, in case you have troubles reading what I ask, I'd be more than happy to translate it to your native language. Btw, it's not the first time you're unfriendly to me, I don't understand your hostility and weird behaviour.- 1,227 replies

There's nothing to "debate over" since the author of Supermium doesn't provide the portability in any form or shape, But he promises to consider. https://github.com/win32ss/supermium/issues/107#issuecomment-1839998949
