i've now got a strange problem with my xpcreate cd using the august version and all the current hotfixes. The windows logo stage of bootup takes 40 seconds and when installing i get an error that xpctfl104.exe and 105.exe upgrade patch cannot be installed because program is missing. Has anyone else experienced this?

I've got a problem with the monoff tweak. when it's on my right click mycomputer the system beings up a prompt of please select a program to open this type of file. Does anyone know a work around for this?

I keep getting this BSOD so I think i'm just going to remove the realtek driver, it seems to cause the problem what do you guys think? I hope this prob can be solved because it's the one stumbling block for me. I use the dp's everyday to install different systems and i'm adding any successes to the wiki.

I've split the tweaks into 2 files. might be of use to someone, i've corrected a few things too added all to the changelog. tested both files. safever and powerver. just rename the files to .reg and run i've found some more duplicates! moved 8.3 dos filename to power. sorted cmd enhancements changed recommended notepad replacement to scite, same core really 17/10/05 PRtwks.txt RegTwks.txt

v1.4 released, added agere chipset toshiba pcmcia drivers and some amr intel . Didn't include the Dell ones i was sent because I think they're covered by the conexant generic drivers. try my pack and see if not i'll add them. might cause blue screens though... just uploading a new version of my additions pack, be warned though it may cause blue screens. g.

Files that are required for Windows to run have been replaced. I get this error now with the latest driverpack base 8.01 does anyone have any ideas why? I've installed from the network onto a pc then imaging before the install started. I've used this before and never got this error. I integrated all the windows updates thanks, g.

remove CALL XPCTVARS this caused an error but the first replace call works. updated xpcreate.cmd attached

1. If you get file cannot be accessed at the start of the xpcreate process disable your antivirus. (nod32 caused this problem with me) 2. Hotfixes aren't integrated unless you edit xpcreate.cmd replace CALL XPCPRVAR by CALL :SETVARS remove CALL XPCTVARS --------------- attached version of xpcreate.cmd with changes great work gm , i still prefer xpcreate to xplite

Sorry if I'm being thick but whats the difference between method 2 and method 3 for bts? I can't see any description in the docs that come with the latest base package. cheers, g.

I had this problem on an asus p4s800d-x. The onboard soundmax got detected as a realtek and locked the whole system up. Don't have the hw-id's because i didn't want to risk enabling the onboard sound again.

just looking at the logs it was because some search engine found i was mirroring the base package then the torrent started, oh well a lesson for us all.

I have had to disable my mirror because i went over my works bandwidth last month.

it is possible , you just need to install using bts base and all the driverpacks and the "keepthedrivers" option with method 2. Then after the system is installed you run sysprep which comes with win2k then ghost.

all i need is the base if someone could email it to support@idoopc.co.uk i'd be v greatful. i'd be happy to host it too for the moment.. I've not checked how much bandwidth my dp's have taken up as long as it's not more than a few gig then it's okay. .g

I use the driverpacks as part of a semi installed ghost image which boots up a pc just like installing from a xp cd but much quicker. I have all the driverpacks uncompressed on the hard disk. I do plenty of pc repairs like this and I probably use the driverpacks every day on a different pc. I find them to be incredibly stable considering all the different hardware i throw at them. Incidently every time I find an unsupported device I add it to my driverpack_additions, I hope to be able to support pretty much everything. g.
