360 Extreme Explorer Modified Version
D.Draker replied to Humming Owl's topic in Browsers working on Older NT-Family OSes
14 years, let me see... The end of 2008, people were buying Quads in huge quantities, smth like Q9550 was on the top of popularity list (price/performance). Such PC could still handle 360 explorer with no problems ! eMachines T3656 looks like a very underspecced PC for that era, like it was stolen from school or smth., no offence, lol.- 2,340 replies

It's full of bad omens. I see at least several signs of apocalypse in your dream. First, I already wrote - no lizards. Second - no birds ! Cats ate all birds ? There are more... that I will not write about. Sounds like bad omens, esp. considering they happen to you every year.

No, I don't have. Jakob, there's a topic dedicated to the CPL here. https://msfn.org/board/topic/184056-breakthrough-p2-new-pascal-special-microsoft-nvidia-driver-port-for-vista-x64/page/2/

From what I gather, @msfntor is a highly religious person and lives by the Bible. He doesn't celebrate Halloween, saying it's "satanical", etc. Lizards are missing from his weird dream and this could be seen as somewhat satanic and anti-bible because according to the bible all species should be present 'cause they are all God's creations. I'm not religious, I might be wrong, and I'm not good at reading dreams. I don't know why he asked me. My dreams tend to be more vivid and forecasting, I'd say. So I think it's not a miracle, it's otherwise, it's a sign of disaster - the World without lizards.

Including lizards ?

What does it have to do with the absence of lizards in your dream ?

Several days 24/7, all is fine so far on the dedicated kernel testing PC, some weirdness with chrome's explorer, no icons, look at the pic. And in local mode still can't open any explorer window, like I wrote some time ago.

Indeed, I took it from here. Can't say it's 100% safe, I guess so, but I only used it for a short amunt of time. All version here, except for the latest 109 and 108. https://github.com/ungoogled-software/ungoogled-chromium-windows/releases- 2,340 replies

Just tried a new version of Chromium 104.0.5112.102 (Official Build, ungoogled-chromium) (64-bit) on the same Emma, only a bit above 100MB.- 2,340 replies

360 Extreme Explorer Modified Version
D.Draker replied to Humming Owl's topic in Browsers working on Older NT-Family OSes
DAVE, it looks like it's with extensions enabled, the default should be four instances and about 600MB (approx. 150 each). Still is waaaay too much, compare to any chrome , look at my previous post or the next post.- 2,340 replies

360 Extreme Explorer Modified Version
D.Draker replied to Humming Owl's topic in Browsers working on Older NT-Family OSes
MiniBrowser from this topic is based on Chromium 87.0.4280.66 and consumes only about 100mb of RAM, despite being newer than 360. Also, it has only three instances running at the same time, compared to the four of the 360 13th version ! The screengrab is from the same "Emma" PC with 8GB od RAM.- 2,340 replies

So I started to dig deeper the 385.69 and compared with a usual Vista (non-kernel one). These all are inside of the NVCPL pack. NvUI.dll missing in SHELL32.DLL Shell_NotifyIconGetRect nvWsS.dll missing 345 (0x0159) "N/A" in COMCTL32.DLL nvxdapix.dll missing the following in USER32.DLL GetDisplayConfigBufferSizes QueryDisplayConfig DisplayConfigGetDeviceInfo SetDisplayConfig Do we have all of these in the kernel ? Thanks

No wonder there's almost non-existent interest in a browser that old. Current Chrome is 109.- 2,340 replies

I currently use Chrome v102 on my systems with 32GB RAM. I currently use Chrome un-gogoled, yes , don't laugh, I remember many of us had negativity towards it, but no choice, really. At least for now...- 2,340 replies

Maybe, I also have a feeling, my BIOS is watching me . Jokes aside, I can't update the default 32-bit Vista on that PC. While I absolutely can the 64-bit version. Weird, right ? The only way for me is to sign the drivers, doesn't matter whether the kernel installed or not.
