  1. What is "Firefox-tff 45"? Tried it with your latest release, Firefox 45ESR 45.9.34 (2021/10/09), unfortunately w/o success - screenshot below. I tried the following of your builds: New Moon 27.10.0_20211204 -> blank screen (screenshot posted some posts above) New Moon 28.10.4a1_20211113 -> works Firefox 45ESR 45.9.34_20211106 -> browser is not supported due to security reasons (screenshot below) Maybe I have to move on to New Moon 28 as Matomo is a very important tool for me!? And it's not like having a tool running on WinXP where you can say "Let me alone, I don't care!"...for security reasons you have to have the latest version of a tool like this running PHP, JS and stuff on/from a public domain / hosting service. kind regards soggi
  2. The mirror of latest BNavigator, Firefox 45ESR, MailNews 52, New Moon 26.5/27/28 and Serpent 52/55 builds by @roytam1 has been updated -> soggi.org - tools. changelog: - added latest New Moon 27 20211204 builds @roytam1 is there any chance to make Matomo work again or will it be some kind of impossible? kind regards soggi
  3. yeah if they're using newer Vue JS, it has some javascript syntax that cannot be parsed by goanna3 javascript engine. Does it mean that there is no chance to make it work or what is the conclusion? BTW I hate it, if a project always has to use the latest "hot s***" I was really fine with Matomo (formerly Piwik) 3.x.x, but they always move on with no regard. Don't get me wrong, Matomo is a great OSS tool and I really appreciate that people invest their (free) time into the project. New Moon 27 doesn't crash here, just shows an empty page with some text at the end - see screenshot below. kind regards soggi
  4. Sorry, I have to double post... @roytam1 I updated the Matomo installation on my webspace to the latest version (4.6.0/4.6.1) and now the screen is nearly empty in latest New Moon 27. The demo site (demo.matomo.cloud) is still at version 4.5.0 at the momnt but will be updated soon (i think) and maybe so you can track down the issue!? Changelog for 4.6.0 can be found under matomo.org/changelog/matomo-4-6-0/ - maybe this is caused by the move from AngularJS to Vue JS? Please let me know, if there is any possibility to make it work again as this is one of my mainly used web tools. Edit: BTW works flawlessly with Apple Safari 15 on Apple iOS 15.1 - so it's not a basic problem. thanks in advance and kind regards soggi
  5. I'm using New Moon 27, but the procedure should be the same. After I downloaded the latest version I close the browser, delete the old "New Moon old" folder, rename the actually used program folder to "New Moon old", unzip the new version to "New Moon" and test it. If there is a serious issue, I rename the latest version to "New Moon new", rename the former back to "New Moon" and report the issue to @roytam1 here in this thread. All settings, add-ons and so on are not saved to the program directory - so it is safe. I would always keep the second last version for troubleshooting, so you can move back very fast. Keep in mind this software is in alpha/beta status! BTW if you want to backup your profile, you can use MozBackup! Edit: some corrections, some additions, more structure (paragraphs) kind regards soggi
  6. The mirror of latest BNavigator, Firefox 45ESR, MailNews 52, New Moon 26.5/27/28 and Serpent 52/55 builds by @roytam1 has been updated -> soggi.org - tools. changelog: - added latest New Moon 27 20211127 builds kind regards soggi
  7. I moved to Pale Moon (before I moved to New Moon) because FF52 was sooooo slow in comparison. We all have this hope, I think! Oh...I remember this bulletin style...was it vBulletin? kind regards soggi
  8. OMG, NO! I tried so many times since the release of Win7...I don't like it much, tried everything with classic look and ClassicShell, but there are so many things more driving me crazy on Win7. If the point of no return is reached, I will move to ReactOS and/or some BSD and/or macOS. Why you don't use the POSReady updates? I had and have no serious problems with them and can really recommend them. As said above Win7 is no solution for me...for me it would be a huge adjustment - unlike ReactOS which feels like 2k/XP. I also knew MSFN long before (~2005!?) when I was searching for Win98SE stuff, because I don't wanted to switch to XP for several reasons - this was before XP became what it was later (after the release of SP3). I also joined MSFN because Pale Moon dropped XP support to get support for @roytam1's New Moon and I think we both are not the only ones...OK there won't be thousands - but I think more then ten - of new members. kind regards soggi
  9. The mirror of latest BNavigator, Firefox 45ESR, MailNews 52, New Moon 26.5/27/28 and Serpent 52/55 builds has been updated -> soggi.org - tools. That's great and it corresponds with the intent of my website! kind regards soggi
  10. You can also use the authorized mirror on my website (-> soggi.org - tools) - if you have no success via HTTPS, it also supports HTTP (intentionally for old browsers and/or OSes which don't support latest HTTPS/TLS). kind regards soggi
  11. Thanks @roytam1, the bug is really fixed - now I can use the latest New Moon 27.10.0_20211113! The mirror of latest BNavigator, Firefox 45ESR, MailNews 52, New Moon 26.5/27/28 and Serpent 52/55 builds has been updated -> soggi.org - tools. kind regards soggi
  12. Thx @VistaLover, I will try that! :-) kind regards soggi
  13. Thx a lot @roytam1! Can't await the new release to test and hopefully switch to it, finally! kind regards soggi
  14. Thanks for the fast reply! Which extensions do you mean? I tested this on three machines (WinXP SP3 POSReady, WinXP SP3, Win7 SP1 - last two with a fresh profile w/o any add-on) - everywhere the same. Below I added a screenshot of the Browser Console on Win7 SP1. Let me know if you need any further information! Ah OK, I guessed it is something like that... Unfortunately it always redirects and there's no possibility to use the standard www site which worked for me. :-/ But I would come along with that, the other problems are much more important to be solved. kind regards soggi
  15. Hey folks! Sorry that I've been absent for nearly one year, I've been very busy for certain reasons. First - the mirror of latest BNavigator, Firefox 45ESR, MailNews 52, New Moon 26.5/27/28 and Serpent 52/55 builds is still alive and updated every week -> soggi.org - tools. Second - @roytam1 I still stuck with New Moon 27.9.7_20201121 for several reasons. Recently I had the time to check all since then released versions up to New Moon 27.10.0_20211106. I tested them with the most important (to me) websites and here is the result (only detected issues are listed, screenshots added below): search bar / plugins don't work (since 20201212) right-click "Open Link in New Tab" doesn't work (since 20201212) partially large / odd context menu (since 20201212) YouTube redirects to mobile version (https://m.youtube.com/, since 20210807) Twitter doesn't work (solved since 20211030) MediathekViewWeb JS doesn't work (since 20201128, solved since 20210213) Matomo JS crashes New Moon (since 20201226, solved since 20210306) kind regards soggi
  16. But we weren't ( @VistaLover and me) - you just brought yourself into discussion by quoting me, w/o any reference. kind regards soggi
  17. Context!? An IBM/Lenovo Thinkpad T60 can't have 48 GiB RAM... kind regards soggi
  18. Why not ReactOS? Win7 is so far away from WinXP... Thanks! It's only based on hand-coded HTML and CSS except one JavaScript part (Matomo website statistics), also it has a PHP fallback. Apart from this there are few pages with JS from c't Shariff and very few pages with some small hand-coded PHP. The whole JS is not necessary for displaying the content in full quality. Can't say that about NM27 on my Thinkpad T60 with Core 2 Duo T5600 (Merom) and 1 GiB RAM with dozens to hundreds of tabs open (the very most not loaded) - after some clicking it get's overloaded. kind regards soggi
  19. Exactly, that's the problem in the very most cases - I hate this bloated BS! My website can be used on Win9x w/o any problem and probably with Win3.11 and even under DOS (didn't test this). kind regards soggi
  20. Updated mirror with latest BNavigator, MailNews, New Moon 27 / 28 and Serpent 52 builds. kind regards soggi
  21. Finally, I made a compromise out of this all...for BNavigator and MailNews I took the versioning from application.ini. kind regards soggi
  22. But this is also inconsistent...PM27 only says Version=27.9.7 BuildID=20201106031431 So the date is always needed for the specific versioning. Maybe a little hint @roytam1 to add unique version numbers to every build (like adding a build [bxyz] or release [Rxyz] number after the specific version and including it into the archives file name - there are lots of possibilities). It would be nice, if this would be standardized / unified. BTW one example... The versioning of Fiferfox 45ESR is very good, the sub-sub-version climbs up with every build (i.e. from 45.9.29 to 45.9.30 last time). kind regards soggi
  23. Uhhh...thx for your attention on that, fixed it instantly! In general, @roytam1hopefully will find some sort of good versioning (for all forks) - i.e. BNavigator and MailNews even don't have any version, so I have to use the date code. BTW I still have the plan to exclude roytam1's builds to an extra page like I did with the Intel/Ligos codecs - so there's more space to explain things. kind regards soggi
  24. Thanks @roytam1 for finally fixing the JS bug concerning heise.de and YT! BTW the mirror has been updated with the latest versions of BNavigator, MailNews, New Moon 27, New Moon 28 and Serpent 52 -> soggi.org - tools. kind regards soggi
  25. Nice to hear about that, thanks! I'll test it with the next build. kind regards soggi
