  1. xp to longhorn.......nice
  2. The above link to mactrans has a trojan......ummmmm
  3. I'll try it out later tonight...good work!
  4. December 17, 5 pm
  5. Talking Heads, The Beatles(circa 1970), Traffic, Bob Marley & The wailers. This is a big show.
  6. x-scan has a irc-trojan in the download.
  7. Most of them work pretty well....used them all for a while...as long as their configured properly. This does not include Black Ice. Hardware solution is still the best with maybe a software firewall too.
  8. I got 4015 to run pretty good after a bunch of registry hacks and removal of that sidebar.....alas, I tired of it and it is now just a memory.
  9. In msconfig go to boot.ini and click SOS, you wil loose the black windows screen(in professional) and see the drivers loading and then get the blue Microsoft NT screen and a quick disk scan and then login screen. Oopps......I think you want to disable the bios splash screen. As already stated, most bioses give you an option to disable it.
  10. Its a 1700 T-Bred with a light o/c 150fsb. As to the product id I left on the screenie, my mistake....ooops.
  11. I normally would say the same thing, its got some but for a alpha build its pretty stable once you tweak it a bit, disable services much like is done with xp. It works pretty well except for my okidata printer(no-driver) and no aureal sound driver so I have no sound unless I use onboard sound. I ws bored, it gave me a project for a day.
  12. Lets see your longhorn screenshots!
  13. python134r replied to tom's topic in Windows XP
Its the mindset. I run almost all games on xp, either just install them and run them or for older ones I use compatability mode. (most not all). As in life, software is just a series of accomodations. Overall, xp is the bomb, I cannot ever consider using a 9x based os again, havent in 4 years.:blueteam
  14. Stopped using 6.2, now use k-meleon and opera as well as ie6:blueteam
  15. So far so good, it is stable, not like 6.0, I am using standard config with some of the fluff not installed...keep u posted!

I never thought I'd say this but netscape 6.2 is faster than IE 6.0. It is quick, the jury is still out on this one but it looks like a winner.
  17. Although I consider them a nusiance too, how do you think some of the issues compiled for the sp1 comes? It don't come by carrier pidgeon. Update works fine, if you believe that M$ will come back to haunt those with "unofficial copies of XP" I know a bridge in brooklyn for sale too. Hey, I turned it off too but don't believe the hype....
  18. I just gotta say, black ice is crap, norton personal firewall works ok but its annoying and not free. Sygate personal firewall works competently although I did had a open port which was a problem. Zone alarm, ahhh good old zone alarm, can be defeated. I used to like it,annoying too and as I said earlier about black ice can be defeated. All you zonies dont jump down my throat. In lieu of a hardware solution ("the bomb") I prefer yes, tiny personal firewall oh, its free too.:nerves
  19. I opened every proggie I had and ran a cpu burn test and "locked" xp up! Just a little humor.
