  1. @reboot12 Oh nice..needs Bios hack on the Dell Wyse 5070. When you give me the full name, cpu etc. of your Wyse 5070, I can look at Ebay for one, because now they are not expensive Dietmar EDIT: But remember: Any Bios hack can destroy your compi. Is there a version of FPT, that you can use for to flash on the 5070?
  2. @reboot12 Dell Wyse 5070 has CSM as you can see in Bios: CSMCore, but may be, that it is hidden or under other name Dietmar
  3. @reboot12 Just tell me, if this driver installs for you and you see the symbol "no lan cable connected" Dietmar https://www.upload.ee/files/19156884/9560v1.zip.html
  4. @reboot12 I try the really crazy: To put both (different(!)) Wlan devices in one driver for XP SP3: VEN_8086&DEV_31DC&SUBSYS_40308086&REV_03 yours is on Gemini board Dell Wyse 5070 VEN_8086&DEV_7AF0&SUBSYS_42348086&REV_11 mine name is on my Alderlake board Biostar z690A Valkyrie both with name 9560NGW . And I will send you always the actual version Dietmar
  5. @reboot12 Here is a better version for XP SP3 of the driver i225.sys for Intel i225 devices, now with IRQ means ping to DHCP server <1ms, please test Dietmar https://www.upload.ee/files/19155504/i225v44.zip.html EDIT: Crashes after some time with Bsod 0x000000D1, ndis.sys
  6. @reboot12 Yesssssa, dirty and ugly slow but works, 4 hours for the i225 for XP SP3 Dietmar https://www.upload.ee/files/19155089/i225v35.zip.html
  7. @reboot12 Yes, may be the cards are nearly the same Dietmar
  8. Now I build a driver for Intel Lan i225, because my Biostar z690A Valkyrie has this as its only lan driver Dietmar PS: Start is 18:00 Already skeleton of i225.sys installs..
  9. @reboot12 I check our Wlan driver: VEN_8086&DEV_31DC&SUBSYS_40308086&REV_03 yours is on Gemini board Dell Wyse 5070 VEN_8086&DEV_7AF0&SUBSYS_42348086&REV_11 mine name is on my Alderlake board Biostar z690A Valkyrie both with name 9560NGW . Oh crazy, on different platforms, now they get different Dev_ . It is hard to get information, if ONE driver for XP will work on both. There are 2 different Intel Wlan modification: CNVio and CNVio2 From what I found in Internet, both Wlan cards are CNVio. But there is no garantie, that one XP driver will work on both Dietmar PS: Maybe you look in Linux, if they have the same settings.
  10. @reboot12 With the 3.1 version csmwrap.efi it stops always at the screen with the 2 Authors. With my own compiled csmwrap.efi, with which I start XP SP3, I come to the menu where I can choose harddisk, but hangs then. The last methode from you screen I have not tested until now Dietmar
  11. @reboot12 I just tried. Hangs very early, you can see only the email adresses of the 2 Authors Dietmar PS: Is there something like a generic vga.bin that works on a lot of graphikcards?
  12. @reboot12 I tried to boot the N100DC-ITX via Uefi. I tried all csmwrap.efi that I have, even compiled by myself. They all hang at "booting from harddisk" , when I disable CSM in Bios. Do you know, how to use this VBIOS_IceLake_1003.bin that you send to me together with csmwrap? May be this works Dietmar PS: With enabled CSM in Bios, UEFI Boot via csmwrap works, but only for the Nvidia GT 730 in the PCIe slot.
  13. @reboot12 VBIOS identifies itself as ICELAKE / device 0406. But N100 is Alder Lake -N. I just check. This VBIOS_IceLake_1003.bin is indeed a real a real legacy VGA option ROM with ROM signature: 55 AA PCIR structure present at 0x40 Vendor ID: 8086 Device ID: 0406 Size: 64 KB Checksum: valid Internal strings include: IBM VGA Compatible BIOS $VBT ICELAKE Intel(R) ICL Mobile/Desktop PCI Accelerated SVGA BIOS Build Number: 1003 ... 11/15/2018 Dietmar
  14. @reboot12 Oh..nice "So, integrated GPU should work. If not, then disable CSM and try use CSMWrap with this extracted VBIOS". Thanks for this Bios! First I thought, that with my Bios mod I take the onboard VGA and HDMI out of work. But then I remember what in a forum was written about the N100 and its graphik. And so i tested with csm enabled/disabled and found exact this behavior, which I describe in post above. And CSMWrap is not so useless, may be we should look a deep look on it Dietmar
  15. Yesssssa now everything is ready on this cool 10 Watt (even with prime95) board N100DC-ITX. For the very first time I succeed to change entries in Bios menu, so that after the mod they work in Bios. I do not make any mistake in Bios mod, just forget 4 changes from an above layer of setup.bin Dietmar EDIT: The Onboard Graphic (inside the cpu N100) can only work in UEFI mode. So, when CSM is enabled, the Onboard Graphic stops working! I use for this for CSM Enabled the legacy Nvidia GT 730, in PCIe slot. All switches are valid in this Bios. With CSM is disabled via Bios, you have from the onboard GPU VGA graphic and also onboard HDMI. Here is this for CSM modded Bios for the N100DC-ITX, it is a mod of Bios version 1.06. In "Default" settings of the Bios (CMOS reset), CSM is enabled. So, when you do a CMOS reset, after this reset CSM is ENABLED. https://www.upload.ee/files/19149593/bios4.rom.html
  16. @reboot12 I just set up my N100DC-ITX board. What I miss in its Bios is a switch between UEFI/CSM and also a switch between internal graphik/PCI graphik. After ifrextract.exe of setup.bin I can see, that there is no general Bit for to show all "Hidden" in Bios. Now I have a nice Idea: I take a deep look at the N100M, which has all this wished new entries but a little bit other hardware. And now comes the most crazy part: I am doing an operation in the Bios of the N100M, what is just different compaired with the N100DC-ITX board. But only for modules in setup.bin, that exist in both. This differences I copy at their aequivalent place in the Bios of the N100DC-ITX board. Oh crazy.. Soon I flash Dietmar EDIT: Oh my..I already patch the Bios at 202 places.. EDIT2: Compi N100DC-ITX survives flash. But: I can see now a lot of more entries but only those not, that I wanted: Intern Graphik/PCIe Graphik and Csm Boot Menu, nothing of this can be seen, Here is the setup.txt before and after mod for to compare. https://www.upload.ee/files/19149191/compareN100DCSetup-bin.zip.html
  17. @Damnation This way will not work. There are registry entries from Win7 and a lot more. The "easiest" way would be something like this. 18. @reboot12 I find out, that the N100DC-ITX has a compatible M2 Intel-CNVi/CNVio slot for your Wlan 9560NGW card. I just buy this https://www.ebay.de/itm/366086329388 Dietmar
  19. @reboot12 I just check the Bios of the Dell Wyse 5070 with UEFITool It has csmcore and *.int13 means full legacy support. So, with some work you can install XP SP3 on it. And I just see, that this compi has a COM1 port, so Windbg will be easy Dietmar Pure Bios https://www.upload.ee/files/19146341/Wyse_5070_1.5.0_pure_system_bios.bin.html
  20. @reboot12 I just look at your Wlan card Gemini Lake 9560 NGW with PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_31DC&SUBSYS_40308086&REV_03 . This card needs a special M2 slot, Intel-CNVi/CNVio -platform. Hm, for this you need a notebook with this special M2 slot and the possibility to do Windbg. I have many notebooks, for sure one will work. @Mov AX, 0xDEAD has build a lan Debug for XP SP3 and I use often. But when this Dell Wyse 5070 has no CSM, only UEFI for what you need then this card to work under XP Dietmar PS: I noticed, that this nice AIMB-786 motherboard has a Bios Chip MX 25L25673G, which you can put out from sockel like in good old times. I tested and my EEpromer Revelprog IS recogniced this chip at once.
  21. @reboot12 Of course we can make a lot of different lan drivers, which work all under XP. Now I think, it is about 1 day work for each lan driver. For UHD 630 under XP SP3 it will be a nearly lifelong task, because you have to update the whole graphik stack. And the advantage is quite small, I use Nvidia GT 730 for XP which is really nice. There is also the csmwrap project, now version 3.01. In this project may be only a lack of boards, where you really need it. You need this csmwrap for all Intel boards >800 for to get XP SP3 to work, because pure UEFI only. When you have CSM in Bios no need for this. Last summer I get XP SP3 with 3D Graphik, sound and lan, just all, to work on the Arrow Lake Gigabyte board B860 DS3H under pure Uefi via csmwrap. So, if we have pure UEFI boards like this, it would be a nice project Dietmar
  22. @reboot12 Yes. You cant imagine, how often I check my mods in Bios yesterday night, but result is nice as much as possible, Dietmar PS: I just write this via the i219 driver on this nice AIMB-786 board. I really think about mod Intel iGPU for XP. Very good I remember my frustraiting tries to get the video driver for the Baytrail board to enable. Now I think, it can be done. But for me in the Baytrail is now not so much interest. Do you have an idea? As long as there is a Linux driver for it, it can be done without any original documents.
  23. @reboot12 I set a lot of things, even ME enabled and Jumper on Board for ME flash enabled and Bios Lock Disabled. And voila, I can flash! Then comes 1 min of being crazy afraid.. I cant believe, ALL my settings work and board is alive !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I set Jumper for Clear CMOS. And after this I have Hidden Bios settings are now all visible ME State = Disabled CSM = Enabled ohhh..nice.. Dietmar
  24. @reboot12 I tried to flash, but get this error message: Flash Descriptor: Valid FPT Error 167: Protected Range Registers are currently set by BIOS Any idea, how to overcome this 167 error? Of course I can use EEpromer, but I am lazy Dietmar
  25. @reboot12 I am interested for to test and evt. update the i219 driver too. But I have no idea, how to test, what is important. The small tests I do with sending packages via the XP own tools, say all is ok Dietmar
