  1. I found a solution, but it is unclear for me, how the Bios protection can be overcome. The tool, with which I extract the Bios.exe from Dell is called Dell_PFS_Extract.exe You are not allowed to change the name of the origin bios.exe file. And be careful: For me it worked under Win8 and check each file on whole compi, if it is an dell Bios, brrr.. So better to make an own folder and put this bios.exe together with Dell_PFS_Extract.exe there in and give at the start from the program ONLY this folder^^ for to search..
  2. Hi, does anybody know, how to extract the Bios file from Dell Inspiron_Vostro_3481_3581_3584_3781_1180.exe so that it can be read via UEFITOOL thanks a lot Dietmar
  3. @dearleader The "NTLDR" from Reactos is better in finding the correct Arcpath. But it can be only used for Fat32 partition. In my experiments in booting XP from nvme on any old compi, this works Dietmar
  4. @dearleader This means, that nothing is written to your real harddisk during XP install Dietmar EDIT: You need to prepare your HARDDISK with RMPrepUSB, not the USB stick.
  5. @dearleader When the install of XP hangs during boot of XP from CD @Setup is inspecting your computer's hardware configuration, there may be an error with the geometry of your harddisk. Use RMPrepUSB vers 2.1.739 and set there XP (NTLDR), NTFS, Force use of LBA calls Dietmar
  6. Yes, this can happen, when the arcpath is not found for ntoskrnl.exe. This happens also on the z690 chipset for win10 bit 32, same message as you have. This problem happens to me also. This is gone, when you burn your XP.iso to CD and install XP from CD (or DVD) but only via IDE or Sata. The same is true for Win10 bit 32 Dietmar
  7. @dearleader On some compis, XP cant be installed via USB. In this case you need a burned CD (or DVD) with this XP on it and an IDE or Sata CDROM drive, not USB(!) Dietmar
  8. @Damnation And this (I think the same) for the new builded free version for ntoskrn8.sys Dietmar *** Fatal System Error: 0x000000d1 (0x0A050007,0x00000002,0x00000000,0xB9A6E9F7) Break instruction exception - code 80000003 (first chance) A fatal system error has occurred. 10. @daniel_k When I am interested in a hardware and what can be done with it, I often bought in past this device. Now no money here at the moment, so no buying Dietmar
  11. @mockingbird I only want the Original Intel X540-T2, because this is the only one with big passive cooler and keeps working a life long Dietmar
  12. @mockingbird @Damnation X540-T2 works with 10Gb under XP SP3. Green LED means 2x10Gb working, ultrafast, my router cant compare with, Intel 82599 is X520 also driver for XP SP3 and also 10Gb Dietmar PS: Blackwingcat make them also work under win2000.
  13. @mockingbird I have 10 Gb connection under XP SP3 Dietmar
  14. @Damnation I have no idea, how to integrate all the needed functions, even we have no C-code for them Dietmar
  15. @Damnation Until now, yes. @Mov AX, 0xDEAD told the same Dietmar
  16. @Damnation I just make a try on the Asrock z690 Extreme board with 12900k cpu. The power consumption is with modded intelppm.sys and without always 44 Watt(!). This may be, because now processor.sys does not work correct any longer, shows in Device Manager "unknown device" instead of 12900k Dietmar This is with for power saving modded intelppm.sys from 26 December 2018 and this is with original intelppm.sys XP SP3 from 14 April 2008
  17. @Damnation Thanks a lot, I just download. But I need a lot of help from you. Can you make a list, with all the programs that you use, need for the Extender from @Mov AX, 0xDEAD ? And then, please write, why you think that it can work. What you have done until now, from where the C-code is. All together I need a step by step Tutorial. This Tutorial would be also helpful for others. I just notice, that the download of the programs for the Extender via Git does not work any longer under XP. So, can you upload everything on ufile.io. When I understand, what I can do, I will try a lot Dietmar PS: @Mov AX, 0xDEAD under the Longhorn 5048 only one function is missed for the driver for the i219. Can you write a Tutorial, how to implement a missed function into a driver? I search a lot for how to make this but find no working solution.
  18. @Damnation Can you please describe all the steps, that you have done until now, for to enable Ndis6 on XP? I never worked with the Extender from @Mov AX, 0xDEAD, so I also need basic steps, how to setup Compiler and which programs I need etc. Do you work for this under XP or which OS? I also want to try, if this until now builded files from you can work under Win7 SP1 Embedded Standard Dietmar PS: Nice would be, if we had the Source Code for Ndis6..
  19. @WinWord2000 Make a try with this driver. It is made for Dell Inspiron 5040 Dietmar https://ufile.io/en8jr8qu or this one https://ufile.io/1sqer3od
  20. @Damnation Until now, I have not seen this device. But I notice, that on all boards with the 12900k cpu the power consumption without doing anything is also about 40 Watt on XP Dietmar
  21. @Damnation yepp. Tomorrow I take the next look on ndis6 on XP Dietmar
  22. @Damnation High Watt happens to me only with the not modded intelppm.sys, because the compi always is in powerstate 0 Dietmar
  23. The Intel Lan driver from XP for the i211 does not work under win7 Embedded SP1 Bit32 Dietmar
