  1. it may be driver support, and incompatibilities with WC3
  2. just cancel logging in, then try logging in again, but you don't want it to activate on VPC
  3. If its an older printer it may never get x64 drivers, and the same applies to the modem
  4. i can say that I've noticed quite a difference. Photoshop/Macromedia studio load way quicker in X64, and I have noticed that while many games don't get "higher" FPS, i have noticed that they don't dip as much during action sequences. RTS games seem to have less graphical lag when moving large armies. I've had problems with mounting tools (the only ones i have found only support ISO), but daemon should be releasing v4 which they have stated will have 64 bit compatibility. It's also built on Server 2003 x64 code, so it is a bit more stable. Overall i don't know that i would have paid the full price for it (I got it for free with my 32-bit copy at my school). before you buy, make sure all your hardware has x64 drivers though
  5. if you just replace them all with X's it should prompt you for it during the install, as for afterwords i don't know
  6. Proove it <{POST_SNAPBACK}> when someone said that in one of my english class's almost half of the people were able to, but im sorry to say i don't have a digital camera to post a pic.
  7. i know quite a few pqople that can lick their elbows (and I'm one of them)
  8. That will remove the tray Icon, i don't know how to register it though ;DeleteQTTask from startup group [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] "QuickTime Task"=-
  9. I don't believe that yahoo games do have sound, as they do require a load of bandwidth
  10. I found that Visual Studio 2003 can open and edit 64-bit resources, and I'm guessing the 2005 beta will to.
  11. When I installed x64 the other day my media keys (play, stop, volume, etc )worked fine, but on this install they just dont work. Does anyone know what might be causeing this? Logitechs site turned up nothing
  12. That may be the problem, after trying the MSI live update once, i never went back cause it screwed my computer up, did it have this problem before you ran that?
  13. you can, but make sure you backup any important info on the HD first, and also make sure to defrag it. The most important step is to back-up data though as im not to sure of the reliability of resizing partitions
  14. from what I've tried it (only got to for a few min.) its really, really nice, if it had media keys i would definately buy it, but its extremly nice for typing
  15. so would i, just for giving me a good laugh
  16. if you can try using the virtual keyboard Start > All Prrograms > Accesseries > Accessibility > On-Screen Keyboard (in XP) to see if its hardware related, other than that I can't think of anything
  17. I've been told (and am planning on testing this next format) that if your partition on the SATA drive are primary, and the ones on the IDE are logical it will select the SATA as C:. If anyone else could confirm it would be good. [update] Upon testing this i got an error stating that there was no compatible partition on the IDE drive to install the bootloader, so this is a no go, at least for me
  18. Make sure your BIOS is set to quick POST, or similar option, and that can speed it up quite a bit. Does Hibernate work better in XP than it did in ME(*Shudders*)? it never worked right. Not to worried about it on my comp though, it can be shutdown, and started up to the desktop in about than 35 seconds
  19. I'm looking for a way to get windows to show the time in military tim (HH:mm:ss). Is there a way to do this unnattended. Im thinking in the winnt.sif, but looking thru the ref.chm file in the sp2 deployment kit i don't see an option. Any Ideas? Edit: SRY for the title i thought i put unattended time format, and it wont let me edit the title
  20. try downloading the one Here, It silently installs java, so give it a try.
  21. I'm trying to use this in my cleanup.cmd DEL "%allUsersProfile%\Desktop\*.*" DEL "%UserProfile%\Desktop\*.*"(I like a nice clean desktop) but it asks me if i want to delete the files, How do you automaticly tell it to say yes, or get it to not ask at all?
  22. if you put them all on there now, it doesn't mean you have to update it for each computer you install it on, or when they put new patches out, it just means that your server doesn't have to send out patches that were already in existance when you made the CD
