No, UAC is not required. Just the think that I already mentioned, DWM runs under different credentials and thus it does not have access to your profile/user folder. yep you did, i just forgot about it, thanks, will move it.

Take the key file that you generated, save it to the directory with all the aero glass files, make sure its named donation.key, restart aero glass, it will detect it, and do what it does, enjoy.

Yes, I use some tricks of light and shadow in the drop shadow portion of the theme atlas to give the appearance slightly rounded corners. I like 'em that way. -Noel Noel with the previous release of aeroglass i was not getting rounded corners with your atlas, so i guess thats an improvement in the latest version, awesome job bigmuscle

bigmuscle this update works fine for me, only thing worth pointing out is that after the upgrade, even with RoundRectRadius set to 0 i still have rounded corners on all windows, and this is with the default theme edit: ok so changing themeatlas files fixed it, i'll now switch back to the one it was on before the upgrade and see if it will now display it correctly edit2: ok so with NoelC's themeatlas i get rounded corners no matter what settings i use, is it supposed to be that way?

actually when i was running it prior to the u1 symbols release it would momentarily cause my system to freeze just before the box would popup to tell me the symbols failed to download, and would do so every 15seconds until i killed the process.

Noel what that update does for you then is it allows you to continue to receive security updates from MS, i think i saw on their site that update 1 will be required for all future updates including security updates.

do you have a donation.key? if you do, just install the update 1, then delete the symbols folder, and start glass8, it will then download the new symbols and start working. @bigmuscle i need to complain also, i didn't get to have all the fun those other people had, once the symbols were released, glass8 downloaded the needed symbols and works perfect for me. thanks a ton for the awesome software

i would not suggest uninstalling that update, MS has announced that update KB2919355 will be required for all future updates, including security updates.

@raiden89 if you have a donation.key it does download them automatically

if you do not have a donation key you will have to manually download the symbols from MS and put them in the symbols directory in the your aeroglass directory, i believe there is a guide on the site where you downloaded glass8 telling how to do that.

the update on the 8th is an update for 8.1, you will not receive that update unless you are already running 8.1, so you will still have to go through the store to upgrade to 8.1 i hope that helps

NoelC i installed the update for the memory usage features, i noticed a considerable performance improvement after installing it

i didn't realize just how much glass8 was doing for me, until i tried to use my zune8 theme lol it will not even display the taskbar correctly without glass8, now i miss it lol

Take the MSstyle that has the Start Menu and place it inside the "Styles" folder of where ever you have StartisBack installed at. i.e. "C:\Program Files (x86)\StartIsBack\Styles" its not in Program Files or Program Files (x86) or Program Data...any idea where it goes when you install it per user?
