Ow my deer god, - probebly no-one ever bothered to make the fixes avail in some way, so getting the english versions would probebly be way simpler than dutch (or any other versions) - id almost start to think ghat - using a resource editor to translate the pack would be way easyer than - getting the files from MS (knowing Mstream support ended). right??? <Edit:> So in that case, I might better consider just sticking with the public avail fixes, Taking SP4 / Rollup-rv2, / and anything else I can get my hands on, and releasing it as SP 4.5

MS- Windows 2000 Service Pack 4, is also cumulative, Will it shorten the list of hotfixes, because for one reason or another, the first 20 numerbers seamned to have no active download, - im realy not sure, how to proceed in getting the downloads. :S anyone for a hint? I realy Am thingking of checking this list agains W2K-SP4-NL + w2k-Rollup1-rv2 and after that checking for the remaining hotfixes to get.... would that help????

tomorrow im starting the downloading of the hotfixes from the list (DUTCH - Nederlandse) versions, As soon as i get them all, what the hell wil be the next step....?????

Do you have the $oem$ folder, and and with what value do you trigger the runonce.cmd > with cmdlines.txt - from the winnt.sif file

as soon as you get the chance to share info on witch update-packs you have uses, let us know soon, so we can start gathering al the updates we need.. further more i wonder, - what if we resourse edit the $test$-string.res with a localized (older) version, ar in case nessesary - compare lines, and manualy translate the missing parts... (any-one?????? up 4 ideas about THIS)

@Seppl - I do agrea with you that better looking icons would be nice fox windows 2000, but i realy must dis-agree with you anyways. I think that if you realy want a betterlooking windows 2000, you should ask the poeple of XPize to make it, (or make them yourself, I realy dont think we should be asking thi, to the guys building it, but rater, take to fille from the SP and Res-edit them ourselves, ----------------- also i realy wouldn't go for MSNexplorer. but go for IE7, opera, (or better yet, mozilla Firefox) instead. ----------------- For the rest of your questions, most of them could be done i guess though i dont actualy remember seeing a navite windows burnin toof for 2000, but the are probebly tons of Freeware or OSS tools to go with it instead (if it indeads doesn't exists). @Gurgelmeyer what is BTW gooing to happen about MS-JVM, is it still availible, or are you guys going to get rid of anything - having something to do with it. id realy say ... GO for the total eradication of MSJVM- and leave no traces behind... for it is junk noth even worth of beeing on the same cdrom as your windows files...

Switching the Kernel is a BAD thing, unless you are thinking of getting your selfe up to the nose in s***. If you'd realy want to have large disks enabled youd better start with a base system Win XP and removing what you dont like -

have been looking for, a txtsetup_mod so it would use the format options from win2003 / or XP but haven't actualy found out about it (yet), and i whast thinkin, since M$ isn't incoperating new updates anyways, wouldn't it be an idea to brand the windows lopo (resource edit) from a monitor with winlogo insite to a winlogo with - USP5.x (build nr) that way evryone can see - the update is good...

So if the patches are not for publicity avaible, it will be impossible to get localized versions, right ? ------ thats right, - you should try to optain the localized versions yourself and rebuilt the project on your own files, G will probebly hapely share on how to do so, but the prob is, - if MS hasn't released them publicly, they probebly also havent translated them. :LOL ... i wonder, if Reshacking the files would work LOL... probebly would take you severall days... though..

I'd use "Windows NT 6.0' or a new 2 of 3 letter combination, with a catchy meaning, but absolutely NO > asta la VISTA, and certainly not XP 2 / II id for example could emangine that after a first - a new technolegy, and later a new eXPerience, that "revealation" could be the next step.. yet they might better wait with calling it a "revealation" untill after Avalon WinFS and those Lost Features..

what about the /update command, will NLite be able to remove components after, using this method, ( want do remove drivers / MS-OE / MS-MPlayer / and perhaps 1 or 2 aditional options, and maybe even IExplorer. and ofcource ANY remaining MSjvm files on the system...
