Yes you can use same png images as in Start8. Add them with 'Add...' dialog, not just copy them into Orbs subfolder.

StartIsBack supports both .png and .bmp formats (and always did). To add them, press 'Add...' under orb preview list.

Maybe, in the future vesion. Well, StartIsBack purposefully makes Start screen load after Desktop. Yet I've never noticed lag when opening it. Do you wait long enough or launch it while other things start up?

Go to %appdata%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\user pinned\StartMenu and delete existing shortcuts; then unpin and re-pin items.

Unfortunately, you can't (yet). Metro apps don't belong there.

Q: How many times can I reinstall / reactivate StartIsBack? A: There is no limitation on how many times you can activate an installation on same PC. You can backup activation data from registry [sOFTWARE\StartIsBack\License] and restore it freely.

Same switches are working:/silent for user install /elevated /silent for machine install You need to run explorer.exe after silent installation.

I've explored this and this happens only when UAC is totally off (EnableLUA = 0) or you're in unrestricted admin mode. In this mode Modern apps don't work so Start Apps folder is not needed. Or not? Please explain your UAC settings (and other settings knowing you're big registry tinkerer).

Why you can't uninstall it? Reinstall and uninstall again; tell me if it won't help.

Does setting 'Start Menu - Start Apps - Don't display this item' or using 1.3.3 fixes the problem? Why no?
