  1. I need a regshot of HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\NVIDIA Corporation\NVMixer\Eq The real history behind this request is that I update my audio utilities from the old SoundStorm to the ugly new nVMixer with 4.57 audio driver, due to a BSOD involving nvapu.sys with the version 3.13. I not remember even if the 4.10 nForceWare comes with equalizer presets Come on! Someone?
  2. I see that /qb is almost so silent like /qn when installed a T-12, but you get AR 7.02 installed at the end anyway. If not PM spaced for a working Dutch version. Did you deliberately skip a step? Please give more clues.
  3. Batch edit is not necessary anymore I forgot to remove that minor issue The batch already search directories recursively, now it search only one level deeper First post updatedCD "%ProgramFiles%\Adobe\Acrobat 7.0\Setup Files\RdrBig\"Changed to: CD "%ProgramFiles%\Adobe\Acrobat 7.0\Setup Files\"
  4. True. KB884020 is still listed under NON-CRITICAL section submited by RyanVMIt updates TCPIP.SYS as KB893066 does.
  5. First: Welcome to the forum! Second: Read forum rules! Eg. where to post as this isn't the right place regard your questions Third: Use the search function! At last: Check http://unattended.msfn.org/. Check it all and then ask if something not there. Advice: You are subject to newbie bitching. Enjoy!
  6. Mmm, the display name is language dependant. So alter this reg for your (English) package at your taste:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{AC76BA86-7AD7-1034-7B44-A70000000000} DisplayName="Adobe Reader 7.0 - Español"BTW did you check this out? You got "a silent AR 7.0.1" = "not mine" so maybe I can't help, but if you ask about missing reg keys try this: (same of update/701 section of reg tweaks on post 2)Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 ;Updates version in about box: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\7.0\Installer] "VersionMin"=dword:00000001 ;Add updates to already updated list [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\7.0\Installer\Updates] "1"=dword:000002bd @="{AC76BA86-FFFF-AC7E-0000-87DA8E000000}" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\7.0\Installer\Updates\701] @="{AC76BA86-0000-7EC8-7489-000000000701}" "Feature"="RDR_Update" "VersionMin"=dword:00000001 "VersionMax"=dword:00000007As every other silent AR, mine lacks of install source (.msi) afterwards, so remove and then add a component will ask for the (missing) install source. I did not test the case of updating from 7.0.1 to 7.0.2 with the Adobe package. Your feedback is the only thing I have, so will wait for someone else to confirm it couldn't be updated that way... As this guide is intended for the developer machine, it will NOT work with other sources than Adobe. Eg. first intall the 3 packages ala old fashion way, then run the script. To deploy only an update you will need to copy a few files (those on COPY /Y batch) and then apply the .reg, but I found easier to deploy the full pack again. Don't you?
  7. I use the folowing registry entries from a RunOnceEx.inf:[Version] Signature="$CHICAGO$" [DefaultInstall] AddReg=WinXP.Cleanup [WinXP.Cleanup] ;Executes after inf exits ;All Users/Escritorio HKLM,"%DeleteFiles%\010",,,"%16409%" HKLM,"%DeleteFiles%\010",1,,"Adobe Reader 7.0.lnk" [Strings] DeleteFiles = "Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\DeleteFiles" I'm lazy to translate to normal .reg so I left it as an exercise to the reader. Guide updated, see First post.
  8. 7.0.2Download rate: 1 Kb/sec Will see tomorow...
  9. You forget to mention the obvious removal of KB893066 (v1) and KB890175 for WinXP SP2
  10. Even if I add the necessary regs for "Adobe Acrobat 7.0.1 and Reader 7.0.1 update" uninstall entry, it do not uninstall. for this And it doesn't copy rt3d.dll.Nice discover! I could search for the install type automatically, so you don't need to worry about batch editing... I dunno, just did the copy and paste trick You can get rid of the EULA this way also: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\7.0\AdobeViewer] "EULA"=dword:00000001 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\7.0\AdobeViewer] "EULA"=dword:00000001
  11. The reg tweaks are REQUIRED. At least the grouped first. Try again applying the registry entries mentioned.
  12. Off topic!: The edit ability last for an hour. New forum rulez...
  13. Thanks, the first post can't be updated anymore, the edit button gone. In the line I told to Wasmosis, is easier to replace the StartX command with a .bat file instead, but the not-so-fashion black box appears when installing. I personally prefer a .inf intall of reg tweaks for very silent install. Oops, Is just another reg tweak... I will play with it later to see if uninstall really works. Thanks. I can't update the first post anymore to give you credit. I copy and paste from Opera 7.54 to notepad and get double-enters instead so I think an atachment is necessary.
  14. Replace the line I told to Wesmosis with your own MSI instaler options, search the forum for such options of type "Property=Value".
  15. I dunno. If these were in the original package is possible. Refer to the copy files section to add the newly files. Vier confirmed in another topic before you. Updated now. Newly 7-Zip distribution got it in the Extra folder instead of main folder. Sure: replace this line: ECHO RunProgram="StartX.exe /WAIT \"msiexec /i %MsiName% /qb\"">>config.txt with this other: ECHO RunProgram="StartX.exe /WAIT \"msiexec /i %MsiName% /qn\"">>config.txt or whatever you like for msi installer.
  16. LEFT click on Start menu, properties, Start menu label, Start menu option, Customize button, Advanced Options Label, dropdown list: Search for My documents in the list, select option show as a menu. OK, OK. Got it?
  17. Did someone else see this in their access logs? 210.178.65.92 - - [27/May/2005:23:20:21 -0300] "GET //cgi-bin/awstats/awstats.pl HTTP/1.1" 500 461 210.178.65.92 - - [27/May/2005:23:20:23 -0300] "GET //cgi-bin/awstats.pl HTTP/1.1" 500 453 210.178.65.92 - - [27/May/2005:23:20:25 -0300] "GET //cgi/awstats.pl HTTP/1.1" 404 443 210.178.65.92 - - [27/May/2005:23:20:26 -0300] "GET //awstats/awstats.pl HTTP/1.1" 404 447 210.178.65.92 - - [27/May/2005:23:20:27 -0300] "GET //cgi-bin/stats/awstats.pl HTTP/1.1" 200 - 210.178.65.92 - - [27/May/2005:23:20:29 -0300] "GET //stats/awstats.pl HTTP/1.1" 404 445 210.178.65.92 - - [27/May/2005:23:20:30 -0300] "GET //awstats.pl HTTP/1.1" 404 439 210.178.65.92 - - [27/May/2005:23:20:31 -0300] "GET //cgi/stats/awstats.pl HTTP/1.1" 404 449 I just add this code to httpd.conf for prevention: RedirectMatch 404 ^//.+ I wondering what are the bad guys trying?
  18. Thanks for your time in testing it. Could you place your comment in that thread intead of this? It really need a bump because is so deeply forgotten right now... Thanks in advance and thanks again. As you can see, you are my very first beta tester giving good feedback.
  19. You are a good candidate to try my guide. Any feedback would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  20. @Dumpy Dooby I just echoing something to read while instaling hotfixes because may take a while in slow computers and the info is useful to know what the hotfix fix. Also because they install silent and someone may borrow my CD and tend to reset or... As is, It will install only the last hotfix because the GOTO at the start go there and is the only hotfix I need; this way I test the batch everytime a new hotfix comes. Normally I delete the GOTO line so it install all hotfixes in unpatched machines. @Incroyable HULK I use expensive HP 12x CDRW, many of them, until they fail completely. Media Quality is the key. My 2 cents: Use the Nero burning verify checkbox to avoid headaches.
  21. Nobody likes hard ways, but as always, I complain about RyanVM package does not support my locale. So I stick to SimonSays learning curve as best as I can. If English is your locale use RyanVM pack, if not... you are f**ked.
  22. That is the best RyanVM's kept secret Not exactly but to make you own and LEARN: Use the /integrate switch. Delete *.exe from svcpack folder. Delete *.exe entries from svcpack.inf makecab new ones *.dll->*.dl_ *.sys->*.sy_ and so on. test CD Put back KB*.exe that WU ask for For me:... [SetupHotfixesToRun] KB885884.exe /q /n /z KB885836.exe /q /n /z KB885250.exe /q /n /norestart /o [ProductCatalogsToInstall] ... JCarle compresion bin helps on makecab bunch of files. Driver integration implies uncompress of Driver.cab and recompress again and so for SP2.cab. but I prefer not touch those. Also save test time removing the Windows Update Security Warning. Copy those files from your cache dir, uncab and replace files with the same name in I386 dir. Easy! Applications that never were in the CD couldn't be direct integrated, but repackaged with 7zip to slim down on size... Another history. Anyway the Unattended CD/DVD Guide is updated with most new tips and tricks.
  23. Negative. See my topic related to the "second R".
