  1. Found this at the very end of the tread you pointed in the first post: http://www.kalytta.com/wihu.php
  2. [GuiUnattended] OEMSkipWelcome=1You are asking for the Welcome screen also know as oobe (Out of box experience) Chech ref.chm for Oobeinfo.ini, because you may need it if don't want to fill all pages of Windows Welcome. Then change [GuiUnattended] OEMSkipWelcome=0
  3. Use setupmgr.exe to edit winnt.sif: On the network screen change from "Default settings" to "Custom Settins", that's all. If you thing is your network card not being instaled add [Unattended] OemPnPDriversPath="Instalar\Drivers\nForce510;Instalar\Drivers\nForce510\PreNRM;Instalar\Drivers\VIAHyperion453"And for this example your driver go to $oem$\$1\Instalar\Drivers
  4. Where says "winnt.sif" you must read "unattend.txt" so put that set of values in your unattend.txt.
  5. Sounds like a "sysprep": You can seal the OS with this utility, power off, and when the end user logs: ask for a key, name, etc. I'm close?
  6. I use DefaultHide too, because I like to stop at: [UserData] FullName="" OrgName="" ...for fulfillment purposes. Then that is the same.
  7. Got this so far... Happily informs you where is the offended line. At T-13 [NewHive] section shows up. [WinXP.Tweak] executes. Any error at this stage halt the setup without a trace. At First-Logon [WinXP.apps] section shows up. At last [WinXP.Cleanup] executes If you run from CD replace all %24% instances with %1%. If you need run all al T-13 stage (not tested) replace that line from TXTSETUP.SIF: [HiveInfs.Fresh] AddReg = runoncex.inf,WinXP.apps I'm curious about people .inf type RunOnceEx. If you own one please post it in this thread.
  8. Thanks GM done the trick for me I use: HMTCDWIZ.EXE /quiet /norestart Got something different here: start /w HMTCDWizard_ESN.exe /qb ALLUSERS=1 REBOOT=ReallySuppress Inside are only 4 files (none .msi): HMTCDRes.dll HighMATCD.chm HighMAT_readme.htm HMTCD.dll
  9. I was doing this for some time: $oem$\Prog$\Symantec\Liveupdate\Settings.Merge.LiveUpdate $oem$\Prog$\Symantec\Liveupdate\Settings.Host.LiveUpdate These settings merge at first Liveupdate run into: "c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Datos de programa\Symantec\LiveUpdate\Settings.LiveUpdate" So Liveupdate scan CD for virus def. an other stuff. In facts download: livetri.zip symtri.zip And scan for needed stuff. I use Liveupdate Administration to keep track of updates, but its 120 Mb of downloads actually, because I used for all Symantec producs. To slim down the needed updates I peek at: "c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Datos de programa\Symantec\LiveUpdate\Log.LiveUpdate" There is where all the Liveupdate process is logged. So you must first download the requires files to put in the cd: livetri.zip symtri.zip With these files in the "Host file" path, launch Liveupdate: It will recognize the needed updates but fail to download them. But you will get the errors in the log file: The paths in the example abobe may differ from the host file presented before (should be the same) because is really a log for a NAV2002 update, but you get the idea: "The files marked with ERROR! should be downloaded from the symantec server" So for the example abobe you may also download: http://liveupdate.symantecliveupdate.com/ennfullb.x86 (between other files) The full update process may require you restart and launch Liveupdate again to get all the updates, so you must repeat the "LiveUpdate Error->Log peek->Download->LiveUpdate Success-Restart" I personally switch to Liveupdate Administration (hacked*) because is easier to mantain the updates. Nilfred -) *The hack consist in a read only and modified products.xml to add the files I need which are not dowloaded by itself.
