  1. Hmm, that doesn't make sense at all if you ask me. Afaik FEAR uses MP3 Audio, so I really wonder what the IMA ADPCM Codec has got anything to do with MP3 Audio... (IMA Audio you will most likely find in QuickTime MOV-files). But oh well, perhaps these two sites can help as well; http://www.moviecodec.com/topics/277p1.html http://www.free-codecs.com/guides/How_to_i...ows_XP_2000.htm Is it true then? Are you allready capable of removing this codec too with nLite nowadays?
  2. Hey DigeratiPrime, What kinda of program do you use? Your file appears to be 45% larger then mine, and what did you do? Only "\\ " in the batch-files, and some extraction codes in the archive itself. Kinda weird this quite larger filesize, don't you think?
  3. Or you can install FFDShow and take a look at my filterpack of course. Completely updated, and even less then 2MB, and offers more then the XP Codec Pack.
  4. That's what I meaned yes; TeamSpeak 2 (I have the lastest version: 2.0.32.60). During a multiplayer game it sometimes is pretty annoying the degree of latency you have to cope with. And qualitywise Skype is much better, heck sometimes I can't even hear what people are saying actually.
  5. Hi, I'm about to go to a LAN with a couple of friends next month. On the internet we're used to Skype it's magnificent quality and low latency, but on a LAN it's always back to TeamSpeak of simular. Does anyone know a program which we can use on a LAN (on a network), a program with the same good qualities as Skype?
  6. Updated to 2.0
  7. titou2k, can you tell me what the differences are between your WM10 Lite package and the one found here? There're not the same are they?
  8. Will try it out, thank you
  9. Zoom Player
  10. Over a 1000 downloads! Keep it up! Expect an update soon.
  11. Unless you're using this forum to take out all of this junk Nero houses (I believe there's somewhere a topic about slipsteaming Nero stuff), otherwise I would recommend CDBurnerXP. 34MB vs. 12MB!
  12. I've searched the whole forum for "NoUpdatePromptTime" but no luck, so here is my question; I'm still using MSN 6.2 and every 2 weeks it notifies me of a new MSN version, and every time I have to tell it to leave me alone for another 2 weeks. I did a registry search and found the MSN folder with the key responisble > NoUpdatePromptTime with it's value: 10 ac 03 f7 32 2b c6 01. This is abracadabra for me. Does anyone know how to disable this completely?
  13. -Auto Gordian Knot -Gordian Knot (for the more advanced user)
  14. Just the one that goes with FEAR imo, but I guess you removed too much with nLite I'm afraid. (But what that would be, I really don't know) I wouldn't have any other explanation for this right now.
  15. Just as I thought...It seems the makers of FEAR still use the same MP3 Codec they used in their previous hits, like No One Lives Forever (Kate Archer ), and also same story here. Jeremy, do you have any other MP3 Codec installed besides the one installed with FEAR that is? If not, and you are also sure you haven't disabled audio in the ingame settings , then I would also blame nLite I guess. But I still have a rather old nLite windows running at the moment so I dont know...(I dont have any problems with FEAR)
  16. I'm sorry, I won't include FFDShow. As for the Nero issue, it can be solved be a simple batch file.
  17. (strange, I didn't get email notification for this...) I've already made some preparations for this, but I'm also busy with other things. Imo it is yes, and so (unlike other people who also create filter packages) I will not include any material which isn't free. Yeah well, what is "best"? Speed, quality? If you're planning on watching High Definition material it would be very usefull when your MPEG2 Decoder support DXVA (DirectX Video Acceleration), but too bad no opensource filter support this. The opensource MPEG filters from Gabest are the easiest way for people to watch MPEG2 files and DVD's imo. In the readme you will find the instructions to enable some media formats in FFDShow which aren't enabled by default. And on page 3 I made a post about some handy functions of FFDShow. But concerning the filters within my package, there's nothing you have to do except hit the DSFP_inst.bat to install. I recently had this discussion with Fridge-Raider, and I decided that with the next version, I will release two different version; a normal version and a full version. The normal version will include basic things like MP3,OGG,etc, whereas the full version is like the package right now. First of all, if you play 99% of your music with WinAMP or any other plugin-based media player you don't need my package at all...And second, you have to realise this package I didn't primarily create for MPC, but for any DirectShow media player. It's just that MPC already has many filters integrated, but that's not the case with any other DirectShow media players. I myself am using Zoom Player, which is a very advanced DirectShow based media player, but doesn't include one single filter. (otherwise I could have called it "MPC Filterpack" or something) Sure it can, but the main reason for that is that it can't detect subs inside MKV-files (just yet?). Because it doesn't matter which one you choose, both of them work fine. But I just made a choise and I included the one from RadLight in my package (not both! ) Suggestion noted and stored.
  18. If PC4000 DDR Ram will run on your system I'm not really sure, but I'd like to tell you that I too have those specs (see sig), but just with PC3200 (Corsair), and it all works fine. Sure I also thought about buying another 1Gig for my system, but then I got back into reality realising Socket A is already an aging system and I really wondered if it still would do any good this extra memory... The thing you (and me ) really need is better CPU power and that works great with 2Gigs of memory I guess. Imo 1Gig of DDR Ram for an old Socket A system would be a waste money, and I'm also not too sure if you'd even noticed some better performance (less stutter) in Battlefield 2 for instance. (as you can see, comments are not based on facts, but on strong hunches of course )
  19. This took me quite some time, so... (for me PCI videocards are ancient history!) According to this site your Dell 3000 has the Intel 865GV intregrated graphics processor. For a performance roundup, this site I found had the most similar contenders (Intel 865G). I also did find a site with a PCI videocards roundup (the last one before AGP I guess). And I guess Club 3D PCI videocard is the top model with a PCI interface. Though decision if you ask me, because if you watch those benchmarks I don't think you will gain much performance with the purchase of this ATI Radeon 9250 videocard.
  20. Let alone UT2007. Hell, I even think my X800 XT will have a hard time render all this advanced stuff."UT2007 - what to expect" > A new computer!
  21. Same here. Nothing beats this oldschool game B) I'm also very active with Colin McRae Rally 2005, got some nice times.
  22. [off-topic] If you think that's crazy, check this! Now that IS crazy and sick [/off-topic]
  23. Because of a nLite installation I don't have Windows Media Player anymore, but afaik it should just work cause it's also just DirectShow. By the way, you do have a AAC Decoder installed don't you? If not, please do (preferrably ffdshow, but CoreAAC Decoder is oke too), since there's a good possibility the RMVB-file houses AAC Audio.
  24. I'm sorry, but I guess you're in the wrong place here. the CCCP has nothing to do with my package since I don't include any codecs, and I also don't include filters with bad compatibility (like the OGG codecs from Tobias). And if you're absolutely convinced that package is the only one, you should have at least comeup with some good arguments.
