Hi dancri77, I have to admit, because I rarely listen to SHOUTcast streams, I haven't tested the source filter with every update recently. Although I'm on WinXP (and I can't help people with Win7), the thing doesn't work with me either. At least the standalone source filter, because MPC-HC's embedded SHOUTcast source filter still works fine (weird...). I've created a ticket so developers can have a look at it. After having tried several things, I don't have a temporary solution, so we have to wait for the MPC-HC developers to come up with a solution. Thanks for letting me know.

Haha, thanks a lot! How careless of me! It's because lately I received some complaints about the use of 7z. Some people didn't know how to open it. That's why I decided to switch back to zip, but it seems I forgot to update the url as well. Now it's working again.

A small update: DirectShow FilterPack 3.12 The latest Bass Source Filter update was back in March :x. I was actually waiting to make a bigger update, but sadly enough it's very quiet in "DirectShow Filter land" at the moment.

Hi electroglyph, So the DCoder - Bass Source Filter is perfectly capable of handling WavPack files (*.WV), but for MKV[some_encoded_video+WavPack]-files (embedded WavPack Audio) the CoreCodec - WV Decoder is still needed. Yes you're right! Can't believe I forgot to rename the new one and delete the old one that time... Thanks a lot!For everyone: delete "cdxareader.ax" and rename "cdxareader.ax (Gabest(clsid) - CDXA Source Filter 1.0.0.2 - 18092007)" to "cdxareader.ax", then you can install the whole package (or only this one) in which case the newest CDXA Source Filter will be registered. It's not a big disaster, but still. I apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused. If you really want the DCoder - Bass Source Filter to handle AAC (and MP3 perhaps), you have to unregister the Gabest(clsid) - MPA Splitter and the DCoder - Bass Source Filter, then open up the "Registration.ini" in the Bass Source Filter directory and change aac=0 (and mp3=0) to aac=1 (and mp3=1). After that, register the DCoder - Bass Source Filter again.I don't have any problems time-seeking through a AAC or a MP3 file with the MPA Splitter and FFDShow though. p.s. I don't know what props means

Update: DirectShow FilterPack 3.0

I'm sorry Sciddow, but I don't have Windows Vista at the moment, and I'm not planning on using it any time soon (at least not for now). Ever since my last update there haven't been any updated mediafilters, and as far as I know all of them are primarily created for WinXP. I just can't tell you, because I don't have Windows Vista. Of course you're free to try them out on Windows Vista Maybe I'm going to add the DC-Bass Source Filter from DCoder to my DSFP in the next release, but that depends on a couple of things. This single mediafilter will replace a couple of other filters, which means smaller filesizes in the end. All we can do is wait.

Hi AndrewW, Are you sure the DS-filters are installed perfectly? You can check this with "DirectShow Filter Manager." (included with DSFP) And of course "DivX", in your case, needs to ticked within the FFDShow setup. Have you also tried to play those files with other (plugin-based)programs? Do you happen to have a sample of this mp3- and avi-file(DivX)? If so, please pm me so I check them out. They might even be corrupted for all we know! For iso-files you'll need an emulation-program like Alcohol or UltraISO, etc.

Vorbis in AVI?...are you sure about that!? Don't you mean Vorbis in MKV or OGM?
-
You're half right. Most people will of course us it for decoding purposes, but you can also encode stuff via VFW with VirtualDub for instance.

hmm...oke o_O

Hello #rootworm,What exactly is so horrible about the CDDA Filter? I'm not the one who uses this filter every day, because I never listen to CD's to be honoust, but of course I tested it before putting it in my DSFP. I didn't encounter anything serieus.

For over 4 years now I've been using the Realtek ALC650 (nVidia SoundStorm) on my Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe. It produces magnificent sound. Many times I've been accused of "radar-user" because I could (and still can) hear people very good around the corner. I'm not sure about the Intel HDA (high definition audio), but back then the nVidia nForce2 MPC was the best onboard solution available. It even got put up against the Creative Audigy 2 in this review, and they're quite on par with eachother.

Then I think you didn't search thoroughly enough. There sure are a few around for free.

Haha, well you see, Fridge talks/blabs quite a lot, sometimes a little too much I don't play HL2DM or CS:S, heck I don't even own the game (I did play HL2 singleplayer about 1/1,5 years ago though), so I guess Fridge was a little too eager on that one. TacticalOps I have been playing now for over 6 years (maybe even 7), and this I play almost daily. And about the short temper ... I don't mind being killed at all, but if this is due to a stupid action of myself, I sometimes can get a little agitated (quite normal reaction imo ). Perhaps I demand a too high level of skill of myself... And a little something about the ping story: in august 2004 we got ADSL (broadband), but before that we had 56k and so I always played with a ping of ± 150ms and I still pwned! Well this is quite a surprise then. I didn't know Fridge played HL2. Although I did like HL2 singleplayer, I also heared from people from TO who f***edup their aim by playing CS:S for a while and then returning to TO. But who knows, maybe I'll drop by some time. P.s. I couldn't resist:

Lol, oh really!? I'm not aware of any of this.

"Joined: 5-July 06"...haha. Those are quite some words you throw at me there! I guess it turns out you can't take criticism very well, because the only thing I told you was that it's not "codecs" which are integrated within MPC of VLC, but splitter- and decoder-filters, or can you make some MP3 out of a WAV file with MPC or a MKV[XviD+Ogg] out of a DVD with VLC? I don't think so. Also please tell me where it turns out I'm wrong anyway? Besides you're telling me what to do? Who do you think you are? I'm not posting that much on these forums anyway. I just felt like I needed to clarify this codec/splitter/decoder-thingy up a little, and if you disagree with me, please proof me wrong, instead of shutting me up. I do have a hunch where I think I was wrong according to you. This is correct, MPlayer indeed has the ability to do this, but this doesn't mean these codecs are somehow integrated within MPlayer. You all have to download them separately.
