  1. And the last word about starting the proxy. The best way to start it is to execute StartProxy.exe. This programm is what ProxHTTPSProxy_PSwitch.exe was in @heinoganda's release. And he did it in a complete different way, much more complicated, though. A combination of batch programming and Python.
  2. And in the next version, more control will be added. With submenus in the popmenu. Just to get order and clean up the main menu!
  3. No problem! I try my very best to explain such things. The idea of my package was to control the proxy, don't forget it!
  4. Maybe, but it doesn't matter! Without automatic activation and deactivation of IE LAN Settings, it's no solution at all. That's the problem.
  5. You didn't say ProxHTTPSProxy.bat but ProxHTTPSProxy.exe. And both programs start the proxy but without automatic activation and deactivation of its setting. That's not the way. No solution! And my original starter program does not work on boot without a delay. But now, the version 3.2.0.0 of StartProxy.exe does its job properly.
  6. I prefer to call up executables rather than batches.
  7. What my starter program StartProxy.exe does has a direct impact on ProxHTTPSProxy.exe. Complicated? And ProxHTTPSProxy.exe can't be modified in regards to its code. It is a compiled executable. And ProxHTTPSProxy.bat has the same problem as ProxHTTPSProxy.exe.
  8. Don't be puzzled! My starter program calls up ProxHTTPSProxy.exe and this file has a problem, too. My program had to be modified to get ProxHTTPSProxy.exe working. Can you follow?
  9. I will have a look in my other new files if there is code which doesn't work with paths containing spaces.
  10. Very good! Thanks a lot @mina7601! That's what I meant.
  11. Did you try the first fixed version of 3.1.0.0 automatically at Windows startup without any delay? Then, you'd have observed the problem, only if your install path contains spaces, of course.
  12. No, my original version of ProxyStart.exe was starting on boot correctly only with a delay of 10 seconds, with less or no delay it didn't work, either.
  13. Did you get it? And please, do not delete the message thread until the beta test is over! Thanks!
  14. No problem! I'll send you the fix a second time. But a bit strange, I could see all links in our private zone.
  15. Of course! It's the same problem as it was with my starter program. It can't find its working directory in the early boot phase of Windows. The code inside the starter program has to point to its working directory.
  16. And, by the way, I am really begining to hate these d**n spaces. Same problems as last time!
  17. Hello again, my dear beta testers! My starter program is now of version 3.2.0.0 and should even run with install paths containing spaces. I am very excited if it now works for you all. Cheers, AstroSkipper
  18. Just to clarify it! The program which has to be started automatically at Windows startup, is my starter program StartProxy.exe, and not ProxHTTPSProxy.exe. There is no problem with ProxHTTPSProxy.exe, but there was one with StartProxy.exe. The new version 3.2.0.0 of my starter program should run with install paths containing spaces, too.
  19. Any spaces in your path? I do think so. The program folder "Program Files" in English versions of Windows XP contains a space. A fixed version is on the way!
  20. Maybe, if the path of your installation contains spaces, the new starter program might not work. Just to be on the safe side, I'll send you a new version which also works with spaces. I didn't see that because in the path of my installation, there are none.
  21. I've tested the new version of StartProxy.exe in two different partitions several times. It should work now!
  22. Hello, my dear beta testers! Yesterday, I went to bed very early due to some hurts. In the night at 02:00 am (Germam time), I got up, switched on the thinking area of my brain and started my desktop computer. I tried to solve the minor start problem of ProxHTTPSProxy at Windows startup. I checked the code of my starter program StartProxy.exe and modified it. And, what should I say? After some tests of new code variations, I could indeed solve the problem. From now on, a delayed start of StartProxy.exe at Windows startup is no longer necessary. I'll upload an archive containing the new version of StartProxy.exe and the reviewed documentation, credits to @Dave-H mainly, as soon as possible. You'll get the link via PM as usual. Please, replace the files and try to run the new version of StartProxy.exe automatically at Windows startup! After checking if it works, I need your detailed feedback. Please, provide detailed information about your systray icons in regards to ProxHTTPSProxy and Min2Tray, either via a description in words or a screenshot of your systray! And report what happens at Windows startup! I definitely need confirmations of you all! Thanks in advance! Cheers, AstroSkipper
  23. Ok. Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable was installed in your system. Very good! Without it, you also couldn't have tested my program package, though. And, unfortunately, you are not up to date. As @mina7601 already posted, the latest version is 14.28.29213. Your version is 14.0.24215. Have a look at my screenshot! Cheers, AstroSkipper
  24. Wanted! @George King! Are you still alive? What's the matter? Computer exploded?
