No one really noticed that my physical interpretation of Einstein's world-famous formula was not formulated correctly. Energy and mass are proportional to each other, not energy and matter which wouldn't make any sense. Anyway! I quickly corrected that.

As far as I can see, the most simple way for updating a Windows 2000 installation is using the quite new service Legacy Update which was already mentioned here. It was reported to work properly on Windows 2000. I wrote about this service here: It can't hurt to give it a try. To be honest, I do not use Windows 2000 and never did before. If you want to use an legacy OS, I would rather recommend to switch to Windows XP Professional SP3. It can be additionally updated by installing POSReady Updates and is much better supported, especially here in this forum. Just a suggestion! Kind regards, AstroSkipper

That's what I found: This setting controls whether Google Cast is able to connect to all IP Addresses or only private IP Addresses as defined in RFC1918 (IPv4) and RFC4193 (IPv6). Note that if the EnabledMediaRouter setting is set to Disabled there is no positive or negative effect for this setting. The recommended state for this setting is: Disabled (0) Allowing Google Cast to connect to public IP addresses could allow media and other potentially sensitive data to be exposed to the public. Disabling this setting will ensure that Google Cast is only able to connect to private (ie: internal) IP addresses.

@D.Draker, I trust you, of course! And on the subject of energy, energy is everywhere. Matter is energy. Think of Albert Einstein's formula E=mc²! It means the energy contained in matter is proportional to its mass and can be transformed from one into the other and vice versa at any time. I know a lot about energy in the sense of the natural sciences. But I don't really believe in energy charged objects like an amulet, a chain or anything else for protection. Sorry, my friend! Hello @Cixert! I happened to see in the issues of Mypal 68 that you have update problems. I am referring to the issue "update keeping settings #169": https://github.com/Feodor2/Mypal68/issues/169 The name of the poster is Cixert, so I think it's probably you. When I updated Mypal 68 the very first time months ago, I had the same problem after copying the new files over the old ones. I solved it by editing the file profile.ini and changing the location of my profile folder. Yes, I also very much regret that many of the actually technically interested members of this forum are not very communicative, rather lazy about writing and also, in many cases, quite disrespectful. Many are masters in demanding contents, updates, ported versions and so on, but in terms of gratitude and feedback ... There is very often a lack of respect and appreciation for those who really provide technical contents or make their own work accessible to all. Such members often have no idea how much time and effort the creators have put into their work, topics and threads. Looking at my technically motivated threads, and they are all technical, it's more of a read, shut up and download thing. For the authors and creators of these threads, however, it's literally frustrating. Few comments, rarely a thank you, few reactions and feedback! But the authors live on these, as they do not earn money with it, of course. And, don't forget, if there were no such technical contents anymore, this forum would be spiritually impoverished in terms of technical contents and the original, actual sense of MSFN! Yep! Same as damned. But bewitched is the result of what a witch imposes on you. And that is not necessarily negative.

One alternative of jinxed is bewitched. The verb "to jinx" means to bring bad luck to someone or place a jinx on someone.

There are many current RAR files which need at least WinRAR 4 or higher. Therefore, an update is a good idea.
