  1. Strange it wasn't working then I installed the latest AGTweaker and eureka! It now works. Thanks ;-) What does one do to undo things once the final version is released?
  2. How strange. Did everything as described, altered the reg file to match my drive letter N and merged. Rebooted, tried changing themes. No DWM entry in HKLM and no Aero Glass. But the HKCU entry is there. I wonder if Stardock's Start8 is interfering? However I haven't disabled translucency at all.
  3. Ah thanks. I have yet to play around with this. I may have been premature saying it didn't work because now I read that sometimes all one has to do is change the theme to get things rolling. I'll play some more with this. Meanwhile I see that your AGTweaker is still playing catch up. Hopefully this will all end soon!!
  4. Can someone direct me to the post that outlines the correct way to adjust registry keys to change the parameters (colour, transparency etc).
  5. At the moment they have no intention of ever reintroducing it. But it would be nice if they made it part of an optional enhancement pack. I doubt that'll ever happen.
  6. I got nothing either. Extracted to N:\DWM as per post #1 and edited the Reg file to read N: instead of E: - merged the reg file and nothing, no crash either so no logs. Also following the instructions I see no executable files at all in the extracted files. I'm looking forward to when the final version is out and there's an installer. I just used System Restore to return to the state I was in before. I appreciate your hard work with this but obviously some of us don't "have the knack" !! ;-)
  7. I just got a black screen here, but I'm also not sure that I ran the right thing to get it started. The instructions aren't too clear to me at least. But then I'm just an old fogey ;-) Great idea though. Meanwhile I've restored back to before all this started.
  8. Whatever needs improving I couldn't do without Cleartype on my Samsung XL2370.
  9. Before I go any further, bear with me as I am not overly technically minded, although I do know my way around this machine. I used nlite 1.4.5.1 in XP to slipstream SP3 with my XP Pro SP2 disk (x86) and to test it I went through an installation of XP on a spare partition and I got the errors mentioned in my header quite late on in the process. However, when I pointed it to the appropriate area on the CD (napprov_mo and rsop_mo if I recall correctly) it accepted that and completed the installation without further objections. What surprised me was that it appeared that it was already looking at that area in i386 anyway, but something caused those pop-ups. Anyway, the installed product worked fine. I've since formatted that partition and installed a 2nd edition of my Vista for testing purposes. Does the final version of nlite work better in this regard? If so I'll re-do the slipstream.
