  1. All hotfixes in one file? That's new to me. If you were looking for XPCREATE, its here: http://greenmachine.msfnhosting.com/XPCREATE
  2. Please don't double post, this has already been answered here: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=16781
  3. You can go to this page: http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/finish.htm to grab CDImage. It comes with a boot image and a batch script to automate the ISO creation.
  4. I can't remember who mentioned a while back during the SP2 betas that removing the cmpnents folder caused Setup to fail, but I've tried this with RC1 and it seems to work fine. The CD is now down to a reasonable 404MB after removing all the usual un-needed folders.
  5. The boot folder is only created if you use gosh's reducing size of source guide...
  6. It might be a better idea to slipstream it, otherwise you will need to install hotfixes on subsequent reboots.
  7. Its been renamed to BitTornado AFAIK
  8. You need to edit your boot.ini file to remove the first entry. This file is hidden, so typing C:\Boot.ini from the Start > Run box will open it in Notepad. If you're unsure, paste the contents of boot.ini in your next reply, and we'll do it for you
  9. That Handwriting plugin craps up my MSN Messenger, as well as some of my mates on it. They couldn't send messages, or the chat window refused to open. Bit dodgy :/
  10. Guys, use a download manager. Microsoft's servers are very busy and can cut you off easily.
  11. Yeah, I'd better get round to sorting that today!
  12. Example: REG ADD %KEY%\080 /V 3 /D "cmd /c copy /Y %CDROM%\somefile.txt %systemdrive%\somefolder\" /f
  13. http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/runonceex.htm Look under "Applications that use Quotations" for the -f1 switch. But since you don't have any spaces in the paths, adding quotations isn't necessary. You'll also need to include cmd.exe /c before the copy command for it to work, otherwise use .cmd batch files.
  14. Its getting very hammered, so the speed can fluctuate sometimes
  15. This isn't an old beta of Service Pack 2 by any chance is it? There was an issue that caused spoolsv.exe (or something along that) shooting the CPU usage to 100% when trying to connect to a network printer.
  16. Copy BOOTFIX.BIN from the I386 directory (in your original disc) to the BOOT folder to get the "Press any key to boot from CD" prompt. We can't help you with anything to do with replacing files to get a corporate version, that's considered illegal on MSFN.
  17. If you have used Symantec Packager to configure the client package to install silently, there will be no need to use switches on it. Its switchless!
  18. Grab the network build instead from http://www.msfn.org/comments.php?shownews=7618, its gone public
  19. Identify the process taking up 100% of your CPU resources by checking Task Manager > Process > and then click on "CPU" to sort ascending/descending.
  20. clapping and banging on the desk? Bit childish for a uni student isn't it? :/
  21. I ran Windows 2k on my old 166 box with 256mb of RAM before and its slow as a snail. Don't bother.
  22. Get your own back, start playing loud music he doesn't like.
  23. www.netlimiter.com should do it, but its a client-side application.
  24. You can find info here: http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/space_saving_tips.htm
