If you have this running at T-13 it will definately reboot, run your cmd from runonce in winnt.sif Yeah ... you are running a shutdown command you know .. no wonder it's rebooting!

During my unattended I install the DirectX Preperties in Control Panel ... This file is a part of the DirectX SDK package. Since the entire SDK is about 250MB big, I thought it was a good idea to post it in this forum. (the file is about 130KB). This version is from the latest DX SDK (Summer 2004 Edition) Copy it to the $OEM$\$$\system32\ folder and it will be available in Control Panel when unattended installation is finished. directx.cpl

Why not autoactivate in the .sif file. Then you don't have to activate manually...

I have a tiny question: I use RunOnceEx. How does it work with reboots. In my "cleaning.cmd" script I run a shutdown command. In addition I run a script (01.cmd) defined in winnt.sif (GUIrunonce). Should 01.cmd contain a shutdown command or should it be in runonceex. Any suggestions or best practises or something? MSFN on Windows timeline: " 2. Both [GuiRunOnce] from winnt.sif and RunOnceEx executes at the same time" One other thing, related to the first issue: Instead of defining 01.cmd in guirunonce - can it be added using runonceex instead? also, I have autologon=yes and it's going to do it twice....

The size of the system (windows) partition depends on your needs. If you install s***loads of apps and games you'll need a bigger partition vice versa a clean os install with office, etc. There is no final answer to this.
