  1. From Bashrat's Intro.htm
  2. @Ghostrider This is VERY strange I just tested the slipstream procedure a few times - with DP MassStorage and with Keeping the drivers - with DP MassStorage and without Keeping the drivers - without DP MassStorage and with Keeping the drivers - without DP MassStorage and without Keeping the drivers I had no errors and no leftover files on the root of my dir. About your first error: Here it is refering to C:\D_C_TMP\DP\C\I\ folder, but Bashrat doesn't use DP anymore. Then I looked in Bashrat's RUN_ME.CMD and everything looked fine there. Strange!!
  3. Okay, some quick results: I slipstreamed all new DP's except DP MassStorage (method 2) and the whole process was without errors Unfortunately I don't have time to test it with a format till Thursday evening Once again: Great job EDIT @ Ghostrider I don't have this error Is the $OEM$\$$\INF folder created?
  4. It indeed lives!! Thnx
  5. LOL LMAO EDIT: @ Bashrat: I still have the same 404
  6. Lol, no of course not I can't download the BASE pack
  7. Hey Bashrat Thnx for the new release I have a 404 not found error with the BASE pack
  8. Bashrat is testing a new version of the driverpack. If all goes well there should be a new version tonight. You just have to wait
  9. Patience my friend, Patience Bashrat is testing his pack thoroughly before he releases it. If all tests go well, it will be released tonight. Edit: Oh by the way: Welcome to MSFN!!
  10. Hey pHROZEN gHOST There have been some development the last fews days. Schalti developed a new way to install the drivers, and let windows recognize them automaticly. I haven't tested his method yet, but it seems to be very promesing check it out here
  11. Take all the time you need to test it properly. Although this takes time, it will also save you loads of time (because all the bugs are squased) and not to mention alot of irritation What about this: So this isn't in this Base pack yet ? I can't wait to test it !!
  12. Sure, no problem!! But serious now. If your drivers install fine and the control panel still doesn't work we need to work around this. delete the following line from the BTS_DPs_Control_Panels.cmd: START %C%CR\CR.exe -y -o%S% Now extract the file CR.exe manualy. You should now find two files: - CtCtrlPan.cpl - CtPanel.exe Put those two files in your $OEM$\$$\system32 Now it MUST work
  13. You can remove components with NLite; and about the reg keys, please do a search. This has been covert honderds of times EDIT: again about the reg tweaks: try the sticky!
  14. I replied to this in this topic
  15. @aldero You need to have the following line in your winnt.sif file: [Unattended] OemPreinstall=Yes @hossm Do you use windows 2000? In windows 2000 either $docs or $Progs didn't work (I can't remember which on )
  16. If schalti's method works like I thing it will, than his method is far more superior than mine. I haven't tested it yet but I most definitly will give it a try
  17. Yeah!! Awesome now I really can't wait for the next DP release @schalti & Pyron GREAT job guys
  18. @Bashrat Yeah I have been watching that topic two. And I must say that it looks very promising!! EDIT: After reading it some more I have to say that this is not only promising, it is GREAT
  19. You don't have to install your driver like an application You can do it in your winnt.sif with the OemPnPDriversPath
  20. @Beagz BINGO! that did the trick. Thank you so much Edit: Just tested yours as well Nazgul and it worked like a charm. Thanks I like this ALOT!!
  21. @Beagz Thanks, you are completely right. Without /S it doesn't work with subdirs. Now we face another problem. We only need the filenames without the subdir (we don't want subdirs in Drvindex.inf, because the hardware wizard will scan the entire .CAB file (subdirs included) Does anyone have an idea how to do this?
  22. Yeah! I agree with X-Savior. I think that alot of people here are very intersted in this method. I always hate it to install new devices because then I would have to get the driver CD (and I am so ***** lazy ) And i think that this is the same for a lot of people. Besides, we need testers!! Bashrat, can you make this a sticky, and can you move this topic to "Device Drivers" I think this huge topic is in the wrong place Now about the manual that I released, I will release an updated version tonight with some more detailes and with a lot less typos
  23. @BAM; If you get this error: It means that for some reason the following line in the BTS_DPs_control_panel.cmd is not executed the right way START %C%CR\CTZAPXX.exe /S What happens when you copy the DP\S\CR folder and execute CTZAPXX.exe /S? For me the drivers installed perfect, and the control panel is working without leaving files on the harddrive
  24. @BAM this is indeed strange. I did a format today, and the DP folder was completely deleted. Maybe you should delete the DP folder on next boot as suggested in this post (I haven't tried this yet)
  25. Hey I did some testing again today, and all worked great So I wrote a manual for this method Here it is EDIT: Important!! If your driverpack has duplicated files (double filenames) Don't use this method!! Having_windows_preserve_the_drivers_beta_V1.zip
