Firefox Plugin Needed For Adobe Acrobat Pro 7
DigeratiPrime replied to gelome's topic in Application Installs
if you google "nppdf32.dll" you can download it at DllDump, free and no-reg. http://www.dlldump.com/download-dll-files....l/download.html the same is true if you want Windows Media to work in Firefox, you need these 3 Dll's: npdsplay.dll, npdrmv2.dll, npwmsdrm.dll. you can check if the plugins are installed correctly by typing "about:plugins" in the Firefox Address Bar. taken from: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=206213 -
you can get the Luna Blue in Office 2003 with any Visual Style including Royale, you just need to rename "Royale.msstyles" to "Luna.msstyles". Screenshot:

try rebooting in safemode, delete the user account passwords, and then create new ones (the same should be ok). Be sure to run a virus check in Safemode as well.

i came across this once while reading about Linus/Linux on Wikipedia. If you follow the link below you can read through the actual thread with the original responses. The Linus / Linux connection Torvalds originally used the Minix OS on his system which he replaced by his own OS; he gave a working name of Linux (Linus' Minix); but thought the name to be too egotistical and planned to have it named Freax (a combination of "free", "freak", and the letter X to indicate a Unix-like system). His friend Ari Lemmke encouraged Torvalds to upload it to a network so it could be easily downloaded. Ari, however, not happy with the Freax name, gave Torvalds a directory called linux on his FTP server. In August of 1991, he publicized [2] his creation on the USENET newsgroup comp.os.minix.

im looking to remove some 'XP MCE' components myself actually. The "Windows Digital Media Enhancements", which are in the Plus.CAB (46MB) in the CMPNENTS\MEDIACTR\I386 folder. In txtsetup.sif I see: [SourceDisksFiles] ... plusoc.dll = 100,,,,,,,32,0,0 plusoc.inf = 100,,,,,,,20,0,0 plus.cat = 100,,,,,,,,3,3 plus.cab = 3,,,,,,_x,,3,3 ... Im going to try this: ; plusoc.dll = 100,,,,,,,32,0,0 ; plusoc.inf = 100,,,,,,,20,0,0 ; plus.cat = 100,,,,,,,,3,3 ; plus.cab = 3,,,,,,_x,,3,3 and delete the respective files: PLUS.CA_ PLUSOC.DL_ PLUSOC.IN_ letcha know how that goes.

Firefox 1.01 Helps Silent Install Of Others
DigeratiPrime replied to Myrmex's topic in Application Installs
yes the -ms switch is working with Firefox 1.0.1, you get a silent install. I dont think this applies to Thunderbird, although I am sure they will address that too. The point of this thread is to show a New and Very Simple way to 'really customize' and make a silent install for Thunderbird and Firefox. I think the -ms switch will do a 'Standard' Install, meaning the QFA gets installed. So this method also can fix that problem. -

"Quality Feedback Agent" or in the config.ini "QFA" btw it opens in WinRAR fine over here. This is a much more useful method, because you can edit the config.ini file, now we just need a good understanding of how to manipulate this file I assume that when using "Run Mode=Silent" the setup type is Standard. I would guess that to NOT install QFA, you would just remove/remark the QFA Component Line. Weird Al Yankovic's, "It's All About the Pentiums" "Hey, fella. I bet you're still livin' in your parents' cellar downloading pictures of Sarah Michelle Gellar and posting 'Me too!' like some brain-dead aoler. I should do the world a favor and cap you like Ol' Yeller. You're just about as useless as jpegs to Helen Keller."

Small-minded Mozilla Mocked By Wider World
DigeratiPrime replied to prathapml's topic in Technology News
this was the smart move no doubt. -
wouldnt that be anti-competitive and illegal? [edit] ok i visisted that link, the person uses AOL and XP Home... That should say something about the person. Im not going to read the whole thread, but compatibility with the SP2 Firewall and SP2 Security Center was a known problem for some 3rd party software, but most vendors had this fixed immediately. Im guessing we're looking at the typical AOL users here. This just seems to be anti microsoft rumors and FUD. We need a link to a statement from MS or some trusty authority.

DigeratiPrime replied to lansing's topic in Software Hangout
you can ask questions about bitorrent Programs IMO, But if people are having trouble with that software, please check the programs website first. I would really be annoyed if people started posting the usuall "how do I forward ports?" or the "What is a router?" people started showing up... -
