All your suggestion had been talk about numerous times. You ask a unique solution for all with a big green button. But nlite is all about customization ! And your sugesion 3,4, and 5 are like asking for a smart software, so you wont have to do the reading, to learn, to get some skills. This attitude is not helping at all, in my view

DiscWizard can'T do partition cloning, it can't clone to a file, it can't clone to a DVDR. This is not like Acronis True image at all. Acronis Disk Director never made any error in my experience. But Pm 8.05 ( the updated PM since Norton acquired Powerquest) did fail me twice. I now only use Acronis product.

are you sure that no other service linked to this one are set to manual or automatic ? Because nlite service configuration does not influence post installation services routine.

I am now using no firewall, no antivirus or anti trojan, spyware of anykind. I have medium nlited xp with no security udptate. (only Service back 2 build). It has been 2 weeks and yesterday I did a manual anti-virus scan, the result: nothing. How is that possible ?, because I dont use internet explore and the bare minimum ms services ( about a dozen). I was surprise to see that with only the service pack I was worm and virus bulletproof. My conclusion is that security is best achieved by computer skills rather than by a ton of security software.

yes you can, but you will need to prepare your partition manualy, I mean Id the D: already exist when you install it will work. Just look in the folder section of the options tab in nlite, there you can customize the default folder for the windows installation.

you have a gateway restore disk this is a diskimage (ghost) of your specific system. To work with nlite, you need a OS, a windows cd. By the way this gateway restore disk is a complete ripoff.

you are missing my point, no windows cd= no cash for me. Why you want to pay for a restore disk bloated with adware ? If he had a windows cd he could reinstall with different hardware, but he dont have a windows cd !, what the goal of having a os without a d or dvd rom ?

I hope you now realize, that ACER by saying they provide you with windows, were lying. This is a ripoff from oem. You dont have a windows cd, only licence, so now you need a windows cd because of a major hardware change. Or you can try to get a mb with the same chipset it had work for one of my customers.
