isn't all the USB handled already in Sp1a...so it shouldn't be an issue if you slipstream it and just silent isntall the print device?

awesome..i'll add that to my disk for sure now maybe my nasty hack for silently 'install' all the creative apps will work, as it has creative drivers/hardware to work with...lol

it may work, but as he said...drive letters reside within windows, nto the BIOS woudl it be possible to say, for example: Disk 0_ide 1\Drivers\xxx or somethign like that that is OS independant?

thanks...i was wonderign why it didn't work anyways...if and when Omega gives me hsi blessing hsi driver's isntall the control panel along with the drivers all from one setup file..so that should be interesting to play with

why not use the 4.9 beta's? and i know the file structure may look a little different...as I said...I use omega's drivers...but until he gives me permission to use his tweaks, I have just modified the normal catalyst driver's .INF files and used his file tree. Once he allows me to I will use his INF files. I plan to test this some more in an hour or 2 so look for an update

i'm at a loss then...it seems ti should work as long as you declare it in your oemPnPDrivers strin in winnt.sif and put it in the proper folder in $OEM$\$1\Drivers\xxx maybe give this method a shot: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=12566

i prefer VMWare, if for nothing else, it's interface si FAR superior....and i coudln't find out hwo to emulate SCSI hard disks in VPC...lol

also note that there was a leaked version of the SP2_RTM_ENU that was leaked that IS NOT DIGITALLY SIGNED this could be the cause for many of your problems try redownloading Sp2 directly from microsoft if you didn't get it there already and use that copy instead

first off SkipMissingFiles=Yes where in winnt.sif does this go..iw as lookign for something like that...lol secondly www.omegadrivers.net has performance enhanced ati/nvidia drivers worth looking at that may actually be easier to get to install...i really don't knwo anythign about nvidia drivers as i own a 9800 pro...lol

is there a veriosn number in the inf file? if so windows may be overriding it by default if it think's its own are better also...you can delete the readme and what doesnt hat modem hold utility do(you may nto need it either)
