  1. you were not but this is not legal, and the RC keys will expire in feb or june 2007, so I can't explain you how to do. Look around on the net
  2. @rootworm: you can enter the values but he did not tweak anything. @curtis: the pictures are not uploaded on the web yet, but anyway none of the working pictures show anything strange. The strange picture can't be seen cause it acts like a corrupted file. But it's indeed a good halloween story. My friend is currently investing the past of that man, and the house, and the church, and the local village where all of this is located. The reason I posted here was to get some expertise about the possibility of the creation date being set back for only one picture, and without user intervention, to go back 150 years in the past.
  3. I'd like to know some technical detail. A friend of mine was on a trip to visit spooky locations to spot the best ones to shoot a movie. He took a hundred of pictures of abandonned houses and asylum, etc. At one moment, in a very creepy and old house, with a cemetery and a ruined church beside the house, after taking a couple of pictures, he took one on a big spider on her web. At the same moment, he heard a very loud, but low toned noise, like heavy respiration. His guide, who had gone here lots of time previously, never experienced anything like it. The noise was coming from the basement, who was not accessible at the time cause the stairs are crumbled. When he got back home, my friend uploaded his pictures on his computer. All the pictures where there except one, that seemed corrupted. This picture was the one he took when he heard the loud noise. Strangely, all the pictures where dated correctly, except, you guessed it, the "special" one who was dated january 25th 1845. Going back to the house, he realised in the cemetary that that one of the tomb closest to the old house is one of some guy who died on january 25th 1845. My question: in case a file is corrupted or anything. Is there a possible way that the date could be left to defaul, or resetted to the oldest date imaginable by the camera processor when an error occurs? Or is it "computerily" impossible that the pictures date would show the file was created more than 150 years ago?
  4. I see a lot of sites offering web hosting Even msfn is offering web hosting. But how to compare? how come, for cheaper, I could get 40,000MB of webspace and 900GB bandwith while some other sites like msfn offer less space and bandwith for more $$ ??? How can I make a good decision in this sea of "deals" and "incredible offers"? I'll go with the top suggestions. What I need to host is a radio show produced weekly, file is .mp3 about 110MB each, with archives for the old shows. About 500-1500 listerners every week. Thanks for your opinions and tips.
  5. I'm not a techie or anything, just personnal opinion here don't ever install ME, I had so much trouble I went back to 98SE. I now run winXP SP2 and everything is fine, it's by far the best release to date and hope vista will only be better oh and don't use norton antivirus, if you want to stay clean use nod32 it's waaayyyyyyy better
  6. I'm gonna wait until I reinstall all my apps and get my stuff back together AGAIN loll. Then it's gonna be time for PARTY indeed! And so many thanks to you, without all that time spent troubleshooting, and the night i spent in their shop to show them it was really crashing, I would have gone home with the same mobo and only windows reinstalled.
  7. And here I am at the computer shop trying to get it to crash! at least I managed to get one of each error so I was not hallucinating blue screens in the last 2 weeks Sad thing is that I'm probably will not have my computer to play on the last weekend before going back to school EDIT: I got it to crash yeah! So guys who helped me, I think we found out it was crashing with the network 1 but not the network 2 adapter. That could mean finally changing that mobo!
  8. the two posts above yours have the answer to your question you should have read
  9. The frickin thing didn't bsod yet! , even if it ran as I did yesteday with burnintest. But since I provided lots of info about the error, and I also told him to go on dc++, download a torrent and connect on msn, which gave me lots of bsod here, the tech will check it more thouroughly. I hope it's not gonna play tricks on me and work fine then bsod as soon as I get home...
  10. I'm going back to the store this morning, I'm gonna show them easily with burnintest what's happening, and I'm gonna show them this thread with your expert opinion about what could be the problem. If they are not too dumb they'll quickly replace the mobo and i'll be out of the store in a fly. I'll update here as soon as I got news
  11. it's exactly what I thought, RAM is not involved in the problem, and independently network and hd are ok, it's the combination of HD and networks that fail. I quickly got a 0x00000077 bsod so it's either a very bad and stupid irq conflict, or the mobo as you said, hd failure seems excluded since it passed the independent testing... and it's definetely not a virus infection since it's a fresh install, and anyway I installed nod32
  12. you are right! the specs are AMD AM2 4600+ with M8n32-SLI DELUXE wireless edition mobo asus nvidia 7900GT video card creative soundblaster x-fi music it was supposed to be 3 seagates but found out I got 1 WD3200KS as primary hd and 2 seagates 320gb ones in raid mirror (with nvidia mediathing...) a modem card 2GB corsair ram 600watt enermax psu and a couple of fans...
  13. yeah well I'm going back to the computer shop tomorrow 1st thing cause it's been 2weeks I try to figure out what the problem is. as for burnintest, tryed testing everything together at 50 and passed, then selected only ram-network-disks at 100 and bsod! so now i'm gonna test each of those 3 independently, then if all pass im gonna try disks with network. And yes I did installed all the drivers. So you think it could be the mobo that's wrong? I hope the coming test results will light us a bit thanks for checking up on that thread guys!
  14. I don't have a driver history since it's a new computer, on a fresh XP install so all drivers are the most up to date, forceware, graphic, etc etc. I run it on the onboard gigabit ethernet adapter from my asus m8n32, it bsod happened when I was connecting on the onboard wifi, and it's still happening in the same conditions on direct cable connection. I also happen to have a noticed some IRQ stacked around IRQ 22 with usb controler, nertwork controler AND one of the hard disk controler all on the same IRQ might be that too but I can't change that since XP's so smart I'm gonna take a look on that app you linked to thanks
  15. it always happens when downloading something from the net, large files with IE, or when dc++ is open, or when utorrent runs, and it only happens quicker if I open MSN on top of one of those 2. I checked my memory with mem test for a night, and it's ok, could not check my drives though cause the seagate utility runs in dos and does not detect my sata drive, and the diagnostic tool from WD seems to have lots of options BUT diagnose... sometimes it's when I come back from screensaver, bring up msn and quickly click the MAIL button to open hotmail in IE or when I want to delete a folder with files I just used with a program I just closed or when I tranfer files from one partition to another... usual stuff, but it's not bsod on the spot like with utorrent and dc++
  16. Hi, I was having trouble with bsod 0x000000F4 and 0x00000077, everything was fine for a week then yesterday all hell broke loose and I can't stop getting them. I want to know if there is a benchmarking or troubleshooting program out there that could test EVERY piece of hardware I have so I know exactly what's going on before I go back to the computer store. If those %$/QW% can't mount it right the first time, I better know what's wrong and tell them right away how to fix it. I don't care if it's not freeware, my morality will bend to warez for this one, single use if I have to cause I'm about to with this computer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. I got tired of all this and decided paying for Nod32 was the best move to do, and it is!
  18. gonna try on that lead and update with hopefully good news
  19. @Zxian i'm not saying the 2nd thing did it, only that the combination of those two did it, and in my case it's fine like that I don't care to know the rest. But I had checked the codes on the net and in the F4 solution there was a mention of pagefile somewhere, else I wouldn't have gone on that lead. Also bad memory could have been in cause (no one mentioned it), but I had checked that one out thouroughly with memtest.
  20. I think the problem was with the access to the page file on one of the disc, when I was downloading stuff from the net, like a torrent. I checked the wires seems ok, and the PSU seems fine too, at 600watt it's surely not a lack of power. I'm gonna update here if it gets worst but I really think moving the kernel and paging to memory did the trick. [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\MediaCenterTray] "DisablePagingExecutive"=dword:00000001 "LargeSystemCache"=dword:00000001
  21. nitro: duh!!!!!! have you anything less intelligent to say? go back play with your lego blocks or please be helpful My question was about how come windows stacks so many devices on IRQ 20-23 and how to spread that a bit. Why does it stop at 23, when I though anyway irq could not go over 15? francesco: my hard drives are Seagates, and yes I do have a nforce mobo. I also was having 0x000000F4 bsod and I think the fix for it fixed also my 0x00000077 bsod... didn't get it in a day, hope it'll keep this way
  22. Those tweaks don't do anything in XP. XP is pretty much tweaked as it is. IIRC, that "tweak" became obsolete in NT5 - but don't quote me on that. I don't know if both my 0x000000F4 and 0x00000077 bsods where related, but strangely, I stopped getting the F4 one after lowering my page file which by default was set (by nlite or windows I don't know) to 2046-3xxx (don't remember the exact value), down to 1000-1500mb. Then I applied the 2 memory tweaks provided on page 2. I've been running since yesterday and making a normal usage of my computer and still got no bsod... maybe *crosses fingers, touches wood, prays to every god...* this tweak fixed my problems!
  23. The problem is that because of this I CAN'T access the register form and enter my email, that's what my problem is it's the main page that reloads when I click on the serial link, even if the adress changes to /register1 or whatever the name is, the content is the one from main page, only the publicity changes and it's not IE related only, cause the same problem affects opera! Must be some setting but what and where? I'm on a week's old installation of windows.
  24. Hi, I'm getting a strange behavior with some websites that affect both IE and Opera, but not my other computer. When I want to get the F.E.A.R. Combat serial, I go on www.joinfear.com pass the agecheck system, and click on the get serial link, then the page seems reloads, the adress bar shows the link's adress but the page content does not follow up. It's strange cause it's not IE related, the problem also affects opera so it must be something in windows, or some program installed... on my old computer I tested and got to the serial registration and questionnaire on the 1st clicks. Anyone can help? I don't get this thanks
  25. I never heard of it before utorrent told me lol, what sucks is that it's seems so simple with nforce4, just open nvidia control pannel, on network, firewall, disable... WOW but in my control pannel in networking there is 3 switches and none related to disableing the firewall, I guess they maybe change something between nforce4 when the firewall appeared and nforce590 like I do have with m8n32-sli mobo....
