Hey ricktendo64 can I create VHD in a drive other than C, secondly would I be able to boot into the VHD OS like we can in a multiboot system? Actually I am little skeptical using this VDH method, I have 5 partitions (C to G), and 1 DVD drive (H) and 1 Virtual ROM (J) drive created by ultraISO, now if I create a VHD what letter would it take for VHD as I don't want my drive to formated accidentally. Can you please help me out?

I would suggest you to use reverse integration method. Just install your OS update it and then capture the install.wim. Now replace the old wim with the new wim. Edit: I have just made a multiboot 7 DVD, fully updated.

Thanks mate for the links, I will see what is there in "\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\DRM" folder and would delete the content and the registries as well related to DRM.

Though I have successfully captured the wim but I really wish to know how to fix Media Player DRM issue?????

Yes, what he said...dont set your network to home or work set it to public (I dont set it at all, I dont need to connect to the net) I did set it to public only, and I had to connect to network and I tried installing SP1 with offline installer and I got that error, this time I would update my OS online for installing SP1 and then try to capture my image, I hope this time I won't get any error. I would also try the VHD method. BTW thanks to all of you guys. I really learnt a lot from this forum.

Thanks ricktendo64, but as I said, my OS doesn't allow me to try once again as it was restarting again and again, so I have to install the OS once again and now I would update and try to sysprep once again. I hope this time everything goes smoothly. Hey ricktendo64 did you get the same msg "Unable to complete the installation, restart to complete the installation." something like this at the oobe animation? And doesn't allow you to go to the desktop?

Hey mate sorry for talking off-topic, does this command, "name.exe /?" give us silent switch for that exe?

What do you mean by Gimagex cd? I usually boot my system in winPE (with Gimagex) and capture my install.wim, but this time I am unable to sysprep my OS, so there is no question of booting my system in winPE. And I am not the only one who is facing this problem, I have read number of posts like mine about SP1. Many are facing restarting problem with SP1. In the above case I have installed SP1 from offline installer does it something to do my problem. Ok I wish to know which SP1 is better, the offline installer or Update?

As far as I know the Rt7lite doesn't support exe files, remove the exe and then try to integrate. Edit: If you still get problem I would suggest you to use reverse integration method.

Yeah you are right the install.wim would be bigger in capturing install.wim method but you can use "maximum compress" option while capturing the install.wim this will slowdown the process but reduces the size of install.wim. Even if you have not opted for this option you can reduce the size afterwards as well using export command with "maximum compression" in imagex and export option and selecting Maximum compression in gimagex. I personally like the second option i.e. capturing install.wim.

Hi guys, I have read many threads and posts here saying that reverse integration is better than slipstream for creating SP1, so I have decided to create a SP1 DVD by reverse integration. Primarily I tried with my already trimmed Ultimate DVD but unable to update, as the sp1 update was not showing. Then I tried to delete vlite registries and tried again but didn't work. Then I tried with untouched edition of windows 7 Ultimate, and then installed the SP1 it got installed properly but when I try to sysprep everything was going to smoothly till restart in Audit mode and then when I check generalize option and shutdown I got a fatal error. I am not sure what went wrong. I didn't modify even a single file in the OS. And when I tried to reboot my OS it was showing the OOBE animation and then got the message "Unable to complete the installation restart the installation" and then the system is restarting again and again. Can anyone help what should I do and has anyone faced the same problem?????????

This what I would do to integrate SP1 by reverse integration: After installing my os I would update my OS to SP1 and then install all my applications and drivers, then would do a little bit of customization and then sysprep generalize it and then boot my system in WinPE to capture my install.wim. I hope this will help you.

I want to change the OS section window and Drive selection window to be transparent, is it possible to edit .rc file in such a way so these two window become transparent.

Which application should I use to open the .rc file, I am unable to open that file after extraction.

Ok, this button is in spwizimg.dll, bitmaps no. 511 to 515, but I am unable to figure out how can I edit the .rc files. Actually I am trying to make the entire drive selection window transparent. I have already made install screen transparent but only this part is opaque.

Hi guys, I was trying to make an Acronis Image of my C drive, but when I create a "Bootable Rescue Media ISO" and boot my lappy in recovery environment I came to know that my touchpad doesn't work in recovery environment. Is there any way by which I can integrate my touchpad driver in my "Bootable Rescue Media ISO"? Sorry: I am not sure is this the right place for this problem, please move it to right place. Hi guys, I have accidently removed windows search by vlite, is there any way by which I can bring back windows search in my OS? I have already tried "Trun Windows Feature on or Off", Windows Search option is not there, I have also tried "Local Group Policy Editor" moreover I have also tried to repair (Startup Repair) my OS using my friends DVD but no success. I am also with MagicAndre1981. I will soon create an installation disc with SP1 using reverse integration method. I am just waiting for official release of SP1.

You need to edit basebrd.dll.mui, in order to change the display name of your OS. I hope you must be talking about the name which is visible in Computer properties. If not, you need to metion where you want to change the name.
