msgina.dll is directly patched using i386 pathing method. The ntoskrnl.exe is not patched, instead XPize adds XPize_Logon.exe to your system32 and add the following reg key. HKLM "Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\winlogon" "UIHost" "XPize_Logon.exe" You should do this manully in your uA install

Ive been testing XPize in my girly and bro's computers, 2,2Ghz 512MB RAM and 1,4GH 512MB RAM and did not have any noticeable slowdown, even while networkin'. Anyway, thanks for using it and hope this issues go away with next revision.

Yeah, I'm aware of that issue. This isnt a bug and cannot be fixed. It is just like that. If you want a custom Boot screen without any 3rd party app (editing boot.ini) you wll have this disadvantage. If you use partition manager apps or need to see those booting messages very often, you better uninstall the boot screen. Go to Start menu, all programs, XPize, unistall and choose boot screen. Reboot.

About 128x128 icons, if you integrate, you wont get XPize Settings (needed to switch icons size), which is installed using normal installation.

Would be the best I think, because then you have a backup of the original files after installing XPize 4. But it should even work if you install XPize 4 over version 3, because the files are only patched. Pls correct me if I'm wrong XPero. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Always uninstall previous versions first. Maybe in the next release I optimize the installer so you can install XPize over previous versions. But for now, uninstall previous versions before installing new one.

It is the XP "X" of Delete. I still think it is OK. What would be a better icon in your opinion?
