Yes CD-RW are bootable, let´s wait till next week .
-
So, if it’s the BIOS, and you flashed it with the latest one and it doesn’t work than how are you going to fix that problem with the BIOS (only thing I could think of, is another mobo)? What part do you have warranty on any way? Motherboard and VGA card?
-
Only thing I could think of is a bad mobo, I would change it. EDIT: You are telling me so much strange things. A faulty CPU is almost out of the question, to tell you the truth I never had a bad CPU ever in years, only when it was abused (I LOVE tweaking till it burns ).
-
A PCI-X works on 32 and 64 bit, so you can put that IEEE1394 card directly in it. There are some PCI-64 slots that only work with 64 bit cards, but they are rare .
-
No both faulty, but just not 100% compatible, but most of the time the system would not even see the RAM then. Step 1 doesn’t matter... Step 2, could be that the drivers were the first beta drivers that came out, so bad that Motherboard makers put them on a disc for an end-user. You know for now that the best drivers are on the internet, always look at the bug fixes of drivers (change log), that’s what I do. Also BIOS updates will do wonders some times. Any way, you mailed me and I’m going to help you trough, you are on the right way now, but setting the RAM from 800 to 667 would be the first thing that I would test .
-
Those are are PIIs so they will work on 450MHz max not OCed, so if you can OC it with that chipset you should be happy if it can get at 112MHz FSB if there are settings in the BIOS or with jumpers. Most of the rime server boards don’t have those settings. Any way, I will help you get on with it, I build more think out of Plexiglas before .
-
If you tell us first what motherboard you have we can be helpfull . Also tell us what kind of CPU it is please. EDIT: Video card information would be welcome too...
-
So you make a desktop model out of it? 2 layers of Plexiglass? Or 3 (that´s how I would do it, 3 layers. PM me and I will make a 3D model for you ). you should use LEDs to lighten up the Plexiglass, or use fans with LEDs. Ow, and if you use the old PSU then I would test it before you connect it. Black paint for the CPU would look cool too B).

Or it’s seen like 2 com ports, one to receive files, the other one to send it. It really depends on the type of Telephone you have.

Wow, you were taking my post seriously; it was mend as a joke . Most of the crap I just kick out any way with nLite . I agree with you on XP, let´s see what Vista brings when it´s gold... -
Just use a normal ATX powersupply, that what I was saying ...

New Norton Killer Available

So, what are the differences between 2000 and XP? Besides all the Christmas tree lights and bells? -
Why is that? If I make something for free for you I don´t have to tell you how I made it .

olejnikster, Welcome to the MSFN.org forum . Thanx for these links, let´s see if more people will join F.E.A.R. .

Get a bigger case so all will fit and use a power supply of 300Watts and up, that will do fine. If I was you I would build in the SCSI CD burner, it will have a 68pin connector so you only need a 68pin ribbon cable. I don’t know the cost of the cable. If you don’t have it would be cheaper to buy just an IDE CD burner. Old burners like those from Yamaha burn at 2.4 or 4x or so, and read at 16 or 24x.

This motherboard fits in every standard ATX case (no uATX). It could be that the RAM needs to be ECC or buffered, check the user manual or Google on it .

Wow, almost I thought you were going to kill the guys at Creative in person, using one of my arms or legs to beat them to dead B) . Any way, if you didn’t liked the card why didn’t you return it to the shop. Also no one was telling you to buy that card by force. So much hate for a computer part... I’m sorry can’t stop laughing about it... It’s not to flame you or to p*** you off that I post here. Any way, I hope you have a better card (or chip) now .
-
There are third party drivers that are better and I used them with my Soundblaster Live! 5.1. I used W2K Server at that time and AC3 worked fine for me... some thing was really wrong with your setup there. Like I said use third party drivers, they work way better although they are old now . Yes, that is known, but there were a lot of BIOSes out there to fix the data corruption problem and it wasn’t just a driver thing from Creative. What the... Where do you get that from, is this for real? D*mn... Give me a link on that please... Jup Aureal A3D was better... Any way, on the end we agree that the Creative driver support sux, also with webcams and other stuff. But the 1k chip isn’t a bad chip and has a pretty good DAC. In combination with a third party driver the card works **** good and you could program the card, something that was only found at a lot more expensive cards those days...
-
You have to buy a complete ATI card, then after that you can buy a "slave" card that will be set in "crossfire". That´s how ATI does it as far as I know .
-
Naaa, you are over reacting, the drivers aren’t the best side of Creative, that’s true, but the audio chip is well made. I agree that it doesn’t support hardware 6.1 or NEO but still it works fine. With the "new" HD sound chips onboard theses days, Creative is loosing ground and yes there are better cards if you can get them in your country, but I can’t get them from a local dealer here, not like you in Holland or like guys in USA or Canada. Any way, Creative is cool for gamers that use EAX...

Good enough if you print 5 pages a day or so . computerMan, how much are you going to print any way? And it´s in Color?
-
Yes, passing, but it´s always better to hit the device by air... That’s not true, okay air will bounce against the device but that is cooling the device more... And we all agree on using the case as a cooler. But most cases will not do it well, Aluminum cases like the Wavemaster from Coolermaster will do the job well with there 2 to 3mm aluminum frame but cases with galvanized 0.6mm steel will most likely not do any good for cooling. To tell you the truth, I don’t use any fans in frond of my computer, just a 12cm outtake fan (on my new systems), side inducts for air to the CPU and that’s about it. I only will place 92mm or 12cm fans in frond of the system when bigger VGA cards are installed and for more hard drives I use fans too. I keep space in between them so warm-air will get away. I noticed that drives are cooler when they are not placed on the height of the rotor, although we are talking about 3oC to 10oC with room temperatures at 25oC. Any way, like posted here before it’s always better to try it out, some things are not seen...

, me Giggles Let´s see where this goes too...
