Re. Integrating WIM2VHD MOD, CompactOS, Compact MFT scripts into WinNTsetup Some functions from WIM2VHD Mod (dialmak from Ukraine) are realized in fact. There are some restrictions as I could remember. CompactOS (stea.61 from Russia) is the script with some dialogs in Russian and bad English. It is more convenient for ready OS. Compact MFT (nikzzzz from Russia). I have not tested it, but I will. IMHO, it is sophisticated idea, all, who needs it, could be counted on hand fingers. Better suggestion would be to use CompactOS, UltraDefrag, SDelete, diskpart-compact after OS would be ready (settings, tweaks, programs ...) When Win 7 x64 have been installed in compact mode on USB drive you need to click F8 to disable driver signature enforcement (usbuhci.sys). Somebody has a set of WPI on his/her USB flash and wants to run WPI, bet he/she has 2 windows before WPI is starting: Cannot save ./WPIScripts/useroptions.js and Cannot save ./WPIScripts/windowoptions.js After this WPI runs normally and programs can be installed OK. Attention could be not paid, but maybe there is a way to overcome mentioned above?

The probleme is wider than you imagine If config.js is created manually as i do since version 3 and saved in UTF-8 mode it's OK (no complaints) untill this moment you open WPI Configuration and do saving, config.js is saved to ANSI as UTF-8 (Version7.1) and you cannot use the file. There is no Version 7.2 on my computer. In the case with version7.3, you cannot open config.js if you have converted it to UTF-8, WPI complains that is old configuration 7.2 and converts config.js to ANSI as UTF-8 and you cannot read (only one character you can read that is "C"). The problem for me is that English, Russian, Polish, Spanish, German are foreign languages for me, but I know Russian the best among them - even keybord I have is trilingual (Lithuanian characters (with diacritic signs) are situated on Number keys). I must configure my system to Russian for nonunicoded files to read them. We have only 9 additional characters, so I can read and understand my native language nonunicoded documents. This problem is not so complicated for me, but, please, imagine, Clown is Georgian (Sakartvelo) and knows Russian well. There would be two languages that had no Latin characters.

I do not use WPI new versions and is OK. I use 7.1.0 and Classic one, if I would use newer, e.g. 7.3.0, I would get error as yours. You should open WPI Configuration (if you use new versions), copy and paste from saved old config.js copy, then save WPI configuration. If you understand Russian you could see it. Config.js is saved in ANSI as UTF mode in case of version 7.3 config7.1.js config7.3.js

Clown is right. The Configuration is not UTF8 compatible. I do not create config.js file through the Configuration. I do it for years manually by text editor (notepad++, notepad2, sometimes akelapad (Russian one)) in UTF8.

I am going to translate to Lithuanian. It's about 2/3 ready, but i have done breake because of meet my schoolfriends that I have somebody not seen 59 years (almost 60). There wrong word sequence in English file in some lines - like it should not be packet driver as in Russian пакет драйверов I will try to correct some later
