ok... i want to check if i understand it all good. the msi u have created is 5.04 and i can remove my own winamp? and i can choose between 2 ways to install winamp. with ini i can more specify my wishes? i create a winamp.ini with inside: [setup] Xintex=1 Xmodernskin=1 Xaudio=1 Xvisual=1 Xextra=1 Xdircont=1 and other things are disabled by default? (i dont know what xintex and xdircont are but if i dont like them i remove them the next time...) and in my cmd come a line with: because you say NOTE: This installer is not SILENT by default. You must still use /qb or /qn like you normally would. have i understand this all right?

i dont know which processes are running at that time.... how to see that? and what is AIM?

i have discoverd 2 things. i get 2 errors. one with the please put the cd back ( a screenshot is maked a few post above this ) . i think this is because the hacked uxtheme.dll. also i get the error from k-lite codec pack again and i have make a screendump of it. below this post you will see the error. i am suprised if there are people who install klcp without errors :|

i have try to install the beta on a silent way. impossible!! i try with /s /S /silent /verysilent. so i goes back to my own version 2.27f and delete the silent.if and now try to install with the switch /silent only brb

this is not possible because the /S dont work.

there are a mistyped part in your example: [SETUP] XAUDIO=1 XVIDO=1 i have download it and i dont have the time to test it but you will be the first to hear what my experience is with the msi

thanks for the beta (i now download it an try it), it happened every time ( i try it 3 times ) when kazaa lite codec pack installing a error with that popup come up and kazaalitecodecpack is halting waiting for me i click on yes no cancel. i press yes then immediality occurs the same popup but with a another filename and klcp again halted. so i am sure it is klcp. i first thought it was uxtheme.dll but it dont halted with that filename.

ever heard from winnt.sif? for more information look here http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/winnt_sif.htm run deploy.cab and fill in the key and other things what you want fill in for other people. after this is done rename unattend.sif to winnt.sif and place the winnt.sif in filescd\i386 from xpcreate. create a cd or iso again and you are done.

hi, i have 2.27F k-lite codec pack. i have use search at k-lite but i get millions hits at nlite. if i search at codecpack i get one hit and thats not usefull for me. i install klcp with: start /wait %systemdrive%\Install\codec\klcodec227f.exe /silent /SP- /Loadinf=silent.inf and the silent.inf is: [Setup] Lang=en Dir=C:\Program Files\K-Lite Codec Pack Group=K-Lite Codec Pack NoIcons=0 Components= divxdec, divx, divxmpeg4, xviddec, xvid, 3ivxdec, 3ivx, wmv, mpeg2, vp3, vp6dec, vp6, dvd, msmpeg4, qtcodec, qtdirectshow, qtcpl, qtbrowserplugin, realcodec, realdirectshow, realbrowserplugin, mp3audio, wmaaudio, ac3audio, oggvorbis, aac, musepack, voxware, ape, mp3lame, oggvorbissplitter, matroska, vsfilter, divxaf, gspot, fourcc, minicalc, disg400, disffdshow but i have errors during unattendsetup. a window will popup with: there are things replaced or removed. please put back the orginal cd and retry (this is translated from dutch) i have found a pic of it so i retry it with a another way: disable the wfp during the unattend install with: [SystemFileProtection] SFCQuota=0 SFCScan=0 SFCDisable=ffffff9d and that dont help. how to install without disable the sfc. if here is someone who install k-lite codec pack without error, without disabling the sfc, please tell me

tis true.... but there are those picky people only want Audio and now Video..... I think I'm going to add a poll..... true eXtrememac.msi way was much easier then the mazin.msi way so alanoll, why arent you ready with creating the 5.04msi? hurry....!!

i like the mazin way because it is nice to see how it moves and clicking automatically. my friends also like it to see. if there come a msi i will try it... but mazin have give us two ways (a msi and a VB script?) to install winamp and that is enough i think.

i am sure someone will ask you to show your runonce.exe so attach it to your post.... i dont have any experience with runonce so i cant help you.....

Anyone knows how to install Winamp, using his keyboard only, he can definitely write his own JScript, whatever the version is. If you need help, download the PDF. It should explain the logic behind the JS. And it's easy. However, I'll download the new version. Thanks for the link. EDIT: v5.04 is exactly the same components as v5.03a. Nothing special, although it's 4.35 MB while v5.03a was 4.20 MB. Even "eMusic" isn't included in v5.04, while it was in v5.03c. when watching at winamp.comthere is no 5.04 so it is not official or it is not from them.... but ermmmm.... emusic is not included anymore in 5.03c

ok. i dont understand why install 2 versions of radeon, so first the one will install and then the other will install. so i find it needles but ok, ollie? please tell us WHAT are u installing. name of the drivers and go so on. a pic from your tree maybe? also what alanoll is meaning (i think) is this: 000_0 intel chipset driver 000_1 VIA chipset driver 000_2 ali chipset driver 001_0 nvidia graphic driver 001_1 radeon graphic driver 002_0 SB Live driver 002_1 soundbuzzy driver 003_0 and go so on you dont, you use 000_0 001_1 002_2 003_3 so i call the _1 and go so on needles too.....

Still I don't see the addition of extra security here... copy a random scr file in the dir modify the reg et voilà there you have it. no need to modify a scr. deleting a scr will not result in programs not working, a dll or an ocx will. the truth is bypassing the regkey is not enough for me? i cant remove the scr. you can. i cant. but ok. this is too difficult. why you + esp can and i cant remove them? i have choose for nlite to strip them out. problem solved. no headache, no hacking this and that. no difficult.

i am sorry i forget to post here if it works or not. yes the CD line is very essential and it works without problems. 45000 i bring down to 5000 so it stay open 2 a 3 sec. winamp isnt able to place a lnk in quicklaunchbar? ( i think because the quicklaunch bar dont exist at that moment? also the folder \install\applications\winamp wont be deleted after installing everything. i have heard from someone if i call the scripteditor i need a pskill to kill the scripteditor.....? i have asked a few friend to watch at the unattend winamp setup. they say:"whooohooo automatically moving and clicking.... nice!!!"
