So, the problem was from the CD not NIS. NIS is a powerful application. norton ask to much power, i dont like it. kaspersky ask minimal power and works very fine without strange things. if interested, 1 month trial is aviable.... please notice i have use norton a few years. NAV 2000, NIS 2002, NIS 2003, NAV 2004 and NIS 2004 and i always get crazy of the problems occurs with norton. after this i use zonealarm + kaspersky. but i noticed a few problems with zonealarm so i now use sygate (= much better then zonealarm) + kaspersky and now it works very great. i cant believe if there is a better stronger powerfull system without asking much from my cpu. also please notice kaspersky always be the first with update when a virus breaks out. edit: i think u will try the english trial kaspersky? http://www.kaspersky.com/trials?chapter=146481750 i see this is 15 days trial, i dont understand because i have the dutch kaspersky and i read "use this for 30 days trial". i dont know why the english is 15 days. yes, windows .scr files are protected. prove it deleting for example ssmarque.scr and see how it is restored seconds later. and yes they are vital system files. why?? because if i'm a "bad mad ugly person with intentions to create a virus" i will choose to replace ssmarque.scr with my .scr file this will cause that my exe code can be run if this screensaver is activated. if you want to delete system protected files you will need to replace the .dll change the registry setting, delete WFP files, replace dll with original and change again the registry setting or your system will be vulnerable. ok. i understand. thanks for explaining that. how to do this best? i dont want ANY of these scr. the only i want are included on my cd. the 3dwindows scr and logon.scr and to keep my protect? why the SFCDisable=ffffff9d dont work anymore? how to stop the protect during unattend and after this enable it again?

last option is you removed to much subfolders which could be important.... otherwise i dont know...

remove the _0 _1 there is no need to use that. so 000, 001, 002 is enough

if i do this" DEL C:\windows\system32\*.scr" they dissapears and come back.... glowy have read my regtweak and cant find any weird\bad things..... ok: i have searched for the folder dllcache in system32 and it dont exist. also try sfc /purgecache and i get a error it dont exist. i have read the url from glowy and changes sfcdisable:ffffff9d to sfcdisable:1 without kerneldebugger or other sh*t and now i am possible to delete the scr and they dont come back. i have change it back to standard value 0 and no problems occurs when rebooting.... i want a nice way to disable the wfp and remove all the sh*t i dont like and reenable it after the setup. how to do this best? with hacked SFC_OS.DLL my system is still protected or not? ow erm... i have ejected the cd. it dont help, the scr appears back after deleting, no idea where they come from (dont have a dllcache remember ).....

the oempathpnp must be something as if: OemPnPDriversPath="Drivers\000_intel_INF;Drivers\001_GIGABIT_LAN\SOURCE;Drivers\002_Nvidia56.72" no need to _1 _2 and go so on and you must specific the way TO inf files. if the nicdriver inf is in \000_nicdriver\driver\xp\driver\nic.inf then the oempath must be: "drivers\000_nicdriver\driver\xp\driver;drivers\001_videocard and go so on.... why? simply because windows cant take look in submaps.... dont point TO the inf file but to the folder where the inf file are....

i have place the sfcquota blah blah in the winnt.sif and remove the regtweak sfc=ffffff9 and after setup i see the screensaver are still there.... long time ago when i use nlite for the first time, there was no sfcquota , no disable wpf inside in nlite and i was be able to remove the screensavers without problems. dont know exact why it is not possible anymore but a modified sfc--os-dll i can change that the screensavers are gone but other part of system stay protected? or am i disabling the whole system protecting?

i am not sure but i think nlite use this: [SystemFileProtection] SFCQuota=0 SFCScan=0 SFCDisable=ffffff9d this runs at the first logon also cleanup.cmd runs on the first logon. this could be the solution. brb....

hmmmm... you was right. i have make a test.cmd and see the screensaver disappears but they appears back 2 sec later. in the past it have worked. i have checked my second pc. all screensavers are gone. why it works there and not here at this computer? the only difference is this computer uses a xpcreated cd and the second pc use a nlitestripped cd without any hotfixes included so i have run Windows Update. why it works at second pc and not here. what is the difference? where i have to look to see the solution? ( i never hacked hive or something about that. only i have used is a hacked uxtheme and hacked dx9 but i have found OPK so i dont use hacked dx9 anymore.....

ermmm... i first think firebox?? never heard... but i now understand u means fireFox. i have used it one week and i dont like it also. why not? he cant handle java so i cant chat at MCN. the popupblokker is very good. i like that. firefox can add favorites from IE but if i add some thing to firefox favorites, IE cant add that. i like to see firefox add the map favorites from %profileuser%\favorites and replace it when i make some changes (adding new url, remove some url) with firefox. sometimes i use IE and notice: damned the url i needed is in firefox. but i dont say thunderbird and firefox are bad. i dont find them usefull for ME. good point of firefox are: *dutch language aviable *strong popupblokker(better then the google addon IE) *simple use bad point: *favorites backward placing unaviable *cant chat at MCN(no support java) *cant install flashplayer addon

Because Hotmail belongs to Microsoft(MS), and OE belongs to MS, so they are compatiible. But since Thunderbird is the enemy of OE, so Hotmail = no way?! then thunderbird must make @thunderbird.com but i know that, but i use hotmail so thunderbird is needles for me.

i dont like thunderbird because it cant handle hotmail so i goes back to OE. thats the only reason for me.

hmmm.... i dont like to do that all, which it can maybe destroy my system. i say it already before: before i split mij cmd in 2 parts it works. so i will create from 2 back to 1. and if that works. i leave it. why i disable the wpf by using the regtweak is because i use the hacked uxtheme to use unsigned themes. and it works. i have put the 2 cmd back to 1 cmd and now i see the background are deleted but the screensavers arent. if i click on the batch file AFTER the unattend setup the screensaver are gone.... i have ask this to other dutch people but no one knows why.... if there is someone who recognized my problem: tell me

i want place a hacked uxtheme.dl_ to enable my unsigned themes. but when i change the copysource to no, xpcreate stay asking for the cd. how to push xpcreate to look at folder "filescd" i have copied the cd to there and not searching the cd. edit:i have found it already. put the uxtheme.dll in xpcreate\filescd\i386 and they will copied over during the xpcreatework. also write xpcourse: to the copy of the cd on the hdd. for example you put that copy in C:\xpcd then xpcourse: C:\xpcd also i want ask a request. could be there create a map for difficult hotfixes who need to install AT the firstlogon (for example 832643 a hotfix for Dx9). you have PRE/POS which runs before HF1/HF2 but no one folder runs at the firstlogon?
