because windows 98 is better Lol or mabye some start up thing is interfening with IE msconfig!!!!!!!!!

any thing above 2004 and mabye 2005 2006 sucks lol! lol starcraft 11 years old and still going selling great in shops lol

so will things like games will run better BUT windows will boot slower and windows will be slower and things like firefox will be right???????

hey is there a vitural os thing like vm workstation or some thing that will work on win 9x (prefer free but dont matter) or is there a old version of the soft ware now that will work on 9x

star wars empire at war will work if you install it on xp or vista then copy all its files on to win me hd works fine but i havnet tried it on win 98 but sure it will work

Old_Style After cleaning you can shrink your registry files by entering: scanreg /fix in the last line of autoexec.bat. Restart your computer and it will cleanup your registry, when finished it tells you to restart again, than you have to remove this entry or simply add the "rem" command before it, so it looks like this: rem scanreg /fix whats this do lol any playing around with the registry isnt a good thing! it may look like windows works fine but later on you may find that centein programs or windows programs need them and you wont know why its stuffs up becasue this be a long time after

hey i have a problom i installed windows me update and the proformance thing but i had to do some thing so i unstalled the window me unoffiacl update in add and remove but now when i try to boot the system it gets past the windows me splash sceen then trys to load the desktop but the computer restarts all a sudden so i tryed safe mode but it shuts down insted of restarting lol lucky i had a norton ghost image to recover from becasue i would have been stuffed

lol sorry i must have gone though it to fast or my brother was proply just annoying me and missed it

But if I was upgrading, I'd surely go with that onboard ATI over nvidia too! I'll gladly pay extra NOT to have nvidia stuff. whats wrong with nvidia?

i dont know if any one ready said this but have you tried putting it in a computer with a hd thats on master that has a os and puting the dead hd in slave and seeing if the os sees it
