nlite is a windows reduction tool , u use it b4 installing windows to remove some components within windows

u could try & make sure "Power On Self Test (POST)" is set to enabled in bios, this will greatly improve startup time also, if u think its a device conflict, check the irq conflicts or u can also try removing pci devices & disabling unused ports via bios

u can do it with xp, easiest way IMO, is 2 either block the drive from "my computer" so it cannot be accessed (u'd have to goto command prompt, or run & type the drive letter), or u can set there accounts 2 no be able 2 access it (which IMO takes more time then the first tweak ) goto http://winguides.com 2 search for that registry edit
