  2. REG ADD %KEY%\100 /V 3 /D "%systemdrive%\install\pskill.exe (process name) regards... taskkill may work better tho for what u want 2 do, 2 get the syntax just type taskkill /? in cmd
  3. search the unattended forum for %CDROM% there are numerous ways 2 achieve that variable regards

  6. wat about msiexec.exe /i "%CDROM%\Applications\NetFramework\netfx.msi /qb"
  7. of course u need other things, winnt.sif is only for the text/GUI parts of the setup regards
  8. basically, just use what it selects as "safe" then remove others, only 1 or 2 at a time regards
  9. try a reg tweak, search the reg tweak forum regards
  10. u probly just removed something crutial to your setup, so just go back & add 1 thing at a time, its time consuming, but at the end of the day, u know it works regards

  14. ya, gosh's site is quite handy, thats what i used 2 get me started regards
  15. in your log netplwiz.dll isnt removed, so i doubt this is an nlite problem try 2 make your disc without nlite with the same settings/tweaks 2 see if it works ok? regards
  16. isnt the admin account X:\documents and settings\administrator\my documents ? why would u want an icon pointing 2 something on cd? some installers have an option 2 create an icon during setup of the prog. so u can just copy it 2 whereever from where it creates the icon? regards

  18. question #1, the adobe prob.. the following works for me AdobeReader6.exe -p"""-s /v\"""/qn\""" question #2 the msgr prob... wat if u use taskkill ? for syntax of it goto cmd type taskkill /? regards
  19. will u post your nlite files? attach them in a rar/zip so we can see them? may help if u can tell us everything that was removed via the config files when u used nlite did u use it on an original source (copied from your original xp disc?) regards
  20. took me about 7hrs to iron out my runonceex file, but that was from learning inf files to testing it about 10x Note: i wouldnt make an inf then burn it 2 cd and turn around and install windows on your normal pc, chances are first time u do it u will get some sort of error..play with it in vmware first 2 make sure it works well regards
  21. on the vmware window click the VM button, then it should auto load the vmware tools in your virtual machine, goto my computer, right click the cd drive (usually D:\) then goto explore, and click the msi file , i think its called vmware_tools.msi (i could be wrong tho) but i think its the only 1 there regards
  22. look here: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=20502 theres info on the unattended install of dreamweaver mx regards
  23. ive never had any problems, (other then typing errors) its a bit harder tho
  24. weird.. for the vmware tools, are u under the name "Administrator" ? ive had a prob just recently where vmware tools only would install under the administrator account, even tho the account i ran it from had admin privledges.. but what worked for me, was just double clicking the .msi file inside the cd ISO, that fixed my prob... try puting that .dll in the "keep" section of nlite, so it wont get deleted or modified maybe? (u will have 2 run nlite on a clean OS that hasnt been modified by it, 2 make sure your not getting currupt entries on top of 1 and other) regards
  25. personally, ive just converted to runonceEX, i personally like it cuz u get a GUI, instead of .cmd window EDIT: and with runonceEX u can just use an inf 2 install EVERYTHING it beats switching 2 cmd and running .reg files from cmd lol cmd is easier.. less typing (as u said) but, why not download a trial of vmware and play around a bit? regards
