  1. u dont run regedit.exe in dos mode, but like i suggested, u maybe able 2 use Reg.exe also, like i suggested, look on microsoft.com for info on REG DELETE regards

  3. also, i just thought of this, goto device manager & goto IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers double click Primary IDE Controller , make sure transfer mode ISNT set to PIO Do the same for any other's u have, secondary IDE controller.. Last but not least, restart 4 changes 2 take effect ive heard that making stuff choppy good luck

  6. question 1: as rzycrim said, XP's recovery console would be better, http://theeldergeek.com should have stuff on that Also.. look on microsoft's site 2 see info on REG DELETE question 2: patches will apply even smoother 2 a clean freshly formatted OS that ISNT an upgrade, u could download autopatcher , all u need is sp1 http://autopatcher.com it has all windows updates in 1, & it will allow u 2 select components 2 install hope it helps

  9. i dont think so about your original problem, try deleting the file in safe mode or maybe booting 2 a 98floppy disk 2 go 2 command prompt

  11. download RegSnap, take a snapshot, then make the changes, then take another 1, record them & it will generate a registry file (.reg) if u choose 2 regards

  13. hi. they'd be easy 2 do.. turn off WFP & delete registry keys & folders & files related 2 my documents advanced search options can be done via registry hack u can turn off indexing service , but windows will apply attributes 2 files & folders anyways, cuz it does it b4 u can change the setting 4 it, i spose if u edit 1 of the setup files it could be done there is a thread called "Auto arrange desktop icons" search for it u can do that notepad thing via registry, look in registry tweaks thread u can do the explorer things via registry i believe hope this helps
  14. i dont think u can search 1 specific thread, but what u could do is press CTRL + F & type it in there & search, u will have 2 go page by page,

  18. in my .bat file i have an IF statement, IF EXIST "C:\Program Files\Opera75\Opera.exe" GOTO opera1 :opera1 REGEDIT /S "%systemdrive%\Regtweaks\opera1.reg" this is just 2 set opera as default browser, how do i make that goto xml format so it will work in xplode, the last part i know, just not the IF thanks

  23. i just used %userprofile% 2 show u the syntax of the command but if u want the actual command (like sleepnmojo said) mkdir "%userprofile%\My Documents\Backup" xcopy "%systemdrive%\Install\Backup\*.*" "%userprofile%\My Documents\Backup" /Y that should work
