  1. When Nintendo came out (best graphics ever! LOL) I remember playing that thing for like 2 days at a time! Once I got up and kicked my closet door down because somebody reset the game while I was out of the room. This particular game didn't have a save mode or anything so I was about to win and it started me all over! Grrrr! LOL Rick
  2. Okay...I have adaware plus and it runs constantly so there are no spyware keys on my computer. I was just checking to make sure there is nothing that adaware would miss. Rick
  3. I fooled around with that darn site that teaches you what you can disable from the processes menu and now fast user switching does not work. My wife and I have to log off our name completely and then log back on by typing in the correct user name...just like in Win2000. Any suggestions for fixing this? Rick
  4. Okay...that looks very cool! I guess I need to start a new topic but my question is this. Is there a tool that gets all of Kazaa off your system? I want all traces of Kazaa and Kazaa lite gone. Rick
  5. I knew Chris or Michele couldn't stay away! It's just too much to stay away from MSFN! LOL. Hope to talk to you two soon! Rick
  6. Haha! That was pretty funny! Rick

    Resellers

Man! I get all excited when I read about stuff like this...I didn't know it was so simple to become a reseller and everything. I guess you do need a little bit for a startup cost but what company does not? Come May when I graduate from school, I think I will definetely be looking into this as a side deal. Rick
  8. Haha! I'm with ya on the dos thing. I actually started out with Commodor 64...some of my more fortunate buddies had commodor 128. It had a floppy drive the size of a desk and I used a regular tv as a monitor! California Games was the game of the day. I think of my kids one day! Them saying "I started out on Windows Longhorn" and they will laugh at how rudimentary it was! Rick
  9. 38% Thank goodness! Rick
  10. Christmas Sig? I see the Wiccan creed but other than that??? LOL But Merry Christmas to all! And don't get killed by all the little old ladies who will viciously attack over the $10 discount. Rick
  11. Tris, I have toyed with building for ppl but how do you handle warranty situations? Sold as is? I don't have the time or experience to go fix their defective crap. Rick
  12. Companies do this on purpose as I have read on numerous occasions. I have only used Kazaa for music and now that I have been pointed to blubster which is spyware free...I'm getting Kazaa off my system altogether. Rick
  13. True! I had it at one time when I was a noobie on the net. It was very nice to fill in all those forms for me but then I didn't even feel it! I was getting screwed right in the rear. I have well learned my lesson and if you can keep this crap off your system in the first place, it is better. I sat down with my wife and explained how not to click okay just because it pops up and that if she wanted an app to let me know and I'll get it. Adaware pro edition is pretty good at keeping those pesky cookies away and detects spyware keys right away. Note: This is different from the free version. Rick
  14. Looks like a much better edonkey...thanks fthrjack! Rick
  15. I use diet kazaa with kazaa lite. I think it's pretty clean and gets the same service as Kazaa. Rick
  16. Yeah...I don't know a thing about water cooling...I don't plan on doing it because there is no way I can afford it but thought I would post if for you guys to take a look at. Here is the link (Sorry Drew): Watercooler Kit Rick
  17. Here is a deal I found on xpbargains.com It may be a piece of crap but I thought I would post it here for you guys to take a look at. Computer Geeks has the Super CPU Water Cooling Kit for $90 - 10% compgeeks coupon (use code: MC Exclusives) = $81. Perfect for Overclocking CPU's. Looks like a nice kit. Comes complete with mounting hardware for the cooling block, quality silicone hoses with coil spring inserts, and even extra gaskets. Rick
  18. Disgusting! I hope they kill this guy in prison like they did Jeffrey Domer! Rick
  19. Yeah...and you may want to pick up a firewall to make sure you are not being hacked. It's not very likely...probably an app running in the background but I would make sure to rule it out. Rick
  20. Hehe...that's pretty funny! Rick
  21. Ahahaha! I was reading this so seriously and I was like, man...I buy Wal-Mart underwear! Hehe....that is hilarious! Rick
  22. Guys...thanks so much! I have been trying incredimail and it is great! The interface is pretty much just like Outlook or O express so the transition was very easy. It imported all of my contacts and email messages from Outlook automatically. I am surprised that M$ has not said something about it being too much like it's own Outlook. Rick
  23. Yes...I truly believe that somebody can come behind M$ and write a better OS but money for R&D is an obvious issue. I would have to say that an OS would have to be developed that will support all M$ stuff until better stuff is produced. Remember, we had this battle before when all the OS makers were fighting to make their product #1. Nobody was willing to share their compatibility so we were faced with choosing a system and any software that you bought had to work for that particular machine. Now it's just down to Mac and M$ but even some compromises had to be made by Mac to run M$ stuff. I want stability...faster boot time...easy gui...and even if it is just as good but not better than M$...CHEAPER!!! That is the huge key to it all. Rick
  24. I have been using M$ Outlook faithfully for years now but I have come to a point to where I am sick of all the viri that are pointed at Outlook and also the fact that I tried to install and uninstall Office 11 and it has not worked the same since...I had to revert back to Outlook 2000! What are some alternatives that you guys like? My boss uses Eudora with the same claim that I put above but is it any good? Good features and filters? Rick
  25. Thanks man...I slipstreamed sp2 and it worked fine. Unfortunately, since I tried out office 11 my office has been screwing up so bad that I may have to scrub the computer to fix it. Office puts so much in the registry and leaves so much behind when you try to do a complete reinstall errors come up from old versions. Rick
